Since I have mentioned a bunch of products and not put all the pictures up, I went and took some pictures of my mineral makeup.
Here we have my Meow Foundations in Inquisitive Sphynx Pampered Puss and Inquisitive Siamese Purrrfect Puss. You can see my favorite little kabuki brush right there.
Pampered Puss – medium layerable coverage
Purrrfect Puss – light-medium layerable coverage
Sphynx – beige, pink and peach undertones
Siamese – pink, peach, yellow and beige undertones
This is the full size of the Meow Crystalline Cat glow powder, and 2 sample bags worth of glow powder in a small jar. I bought several small jars so that I could put samples that I had 2 bags of into jars.
Here is the AromaLeigh Rococo blush. It’s orange and kind of scary looking to me in the container, but oh so pretty on!
Rococo – A clear sweet nectar-hued rouge. Not too peachy, this lovely color has a healthy dose of pink to make it a gorgeous neutral shade that will give your cheeks a naturally flushed appearance akin to that famed “O”
Here is the Meow VandalEyes samples that I put in a jar. I ordered 2 sample bags of each of the shades in the following:
Mug Shot – Strong toned Golden Peach with hot pink sheen
Resisting Arrest – True Red with Hot Pink Sheen
Shoplifting – Strong purple with black and pink undertones
Handcuffed – Blue/Black
These look good in the bag, amazing in the jar and fantastic on.
Here are some other Meow eyeshadow samples, as well as my favorite blush of Meow’s.
Cats in the Cradle – Buttery French Vanilla with gold shimmer
Breakfast at Kittys – Rich and buttery, vintage copper/peach
Devil Dog – coral with silver shimmer
Blush – Feline Be Mine – A pop of coral toned cherry pink!
In an earlier post that I made I mentioned the AromaLeigh Mystere series, and how they are made. I happened to place some orders close enough together to get 2 samples of le mystere #53 and 2 samples of le mystere #54. You can see how beautiful the colors look.
Eye Lustres:
Chloe – A ripe, wearable pearlized coral with subtle pink highlight.
Amelie – Frosted peach with a soft silvery highlight.
Odette – The purity of white with a twist of opal gleam highlights.
Lilith – A truly chameleon-like shade in a base of heathery grey you can see highlights of green, blue and violet.
Pure Hues:
Fairy Green – A white shimmer with glimmering iridescent sparkles of pale green.
Hibiscus – A gorgeous coral tone. Fine shimmer.
Bluebird – A vibrant bright blue with fine shimmer. Safe for use in lip balms, glosses.
Gothic Lolita:
Wonderland – We all need a little Alice. Lush multi-tonal greyish/taupe with coppery pink sparks.
Elegant Reverie – Romantic, deep and unique smoked indigo and russet sateen.
And here’s a size comparison of things. You can see my full sizes of my AromaLeigh Eye Lustres, Pure Hues and Gothic Lolita. I have the mini size of the Rococo blush, because I wasn’t sure if I’d like it or not. There are 4 sample bags of Feline Be Mine inside the little jar that you see next to Rococo. I have 2 full bags (one of 1Y and one of 1L) mixed into the brown container on top of the 1YL bag. You can also see the jars of the Vandal Eyes, the other Meow eye shadows, and of course the AromaLeigh Le Mysteres. The full sizes of the Gothic Lolita and Pure Hues, while smaller than the Eye Lustres and the Mini blush, still hold a lot of product.

While I don’t like sample bags, I do understand why some companies send them instead of small containers. I actually re-use the small containers. The brown containers there are from Everyday Minerals. I just label the jar with a sticker from the sample bag. I really like having the small sample jars around to blend my own color mixtures into, though bowls work just as well for it.
So for those of you who love samples, but hate the bags, pick some some empty little jars and put your samples into them. The easiest way to do it that I’ve found is to tap the product as much as possible to one side of the bag. Then cut the bag with scissors, and carefully pour the minerals into the jar. Those of you who love sample bags, my friends recommend using index card holders, or folders like you might use for collectible cards.
