Guess who decided to press some pigments today? If you guessed me, you’d be correct ;P
Shade Descriptions:
L’Oreal HIP Restless – A french vanilla yellow color with a pink reflective.
Aromaleigh Mystery – An iridescent blue/violet medium shimmer.
Aromaleigh Peony – A vibrant fuschia/red with fine shimmer.
Aromaleigh Fume – A true silver, with no gray and no black.
Aromaleigh BlackPlanet – Black black flecked with shining silver shimmers.
Aromaleigh BackInBlack – Blackest black with green and blue glimmers.
The L’Oreal HIP pigment, Restless, was very easy to work with, and it set very fast.
The Aromaleigh pigments mixed fairly easily.
This time, when dropping the pans, I didn’t have any issues with the pans flipping over.
I’m using a Coastal Scents 15 pan palette. This pan is $7.95. This is a nice pan, however, the bottoms of the pans aren’t magnetized. So I picked up some magnetic tape from Michael’s craft store and put a small square on the bottom of the palette and on the bottom of each pan. I’m not sure if the top of this will close very well with the magnets on, but i’ll find out. If it doesn’t work, I can always remove the magnets. The pans seemed to stay in fairly well regardless.
The other inexpensive option that is available is buying e.l.f. customized palettes, and only choosing eye shadow or blush to put in them. You can depot the e.l.f. makeup and then you have a nice magnetic quad to use for $5.00.
If anyone has any suggestions about other palettes that are nice and inexpensive, I’d love to hear them.
I think these will turn out nice. I was able to get the jean squares pressed down into the pans with the coins on them, so I thnk these will even have a nice pattern pressed into them. I’ll be sure to post pictures of this next batch.
