I wanted to do a MAC Purple look today. Everything used today is MAC unless otherwise noted.

Here’s the best I could find for shade descriptions:
Digit – soft pale violet with subtle shimmer
Li’lilly – a lovely light sparkly lavender shade
Mancatcher – pale lilac with purple pearl
Viz-a-Violet – mid-tone violet with blue and red pearl
Violet – vivid bright violet-purple
Maidenchant – mid-tone pink with silver pearl
Purrpetuate – a reddish wine

Eyes:
Paint Pot in Bare Study – all over eye area
Digit – all over eye area
Mancatcher – inner 1/3 of eye, dry and then later foiled, and then another layer of dry patted over that
Pigment Viz-a-Violet – middle 1/3 of eye, dry and then later foiled
Pigment Violet – outer 1/3 of eye, dry and then later foiled
Li’lily – browbone
Aromaleigh Black Out – upper and lower lash line
Almay Black Waterproof Mascara

I chose to wear Aromaleigh’s Black Out over my MAC Liquidlast liner in black because I feel like AL’s version is easier to apply and stays just as well.

Lustre Gloss in Mirror

I’ve not really worn my MAC stuff since I started getting into mineral makeup back in April of this year. I still love it, however, I think that mineral makeup is actually easier to blend on the eye. I found it very difficult to get Mancatcher and Viz-a-Violet to show up. Violet showed up very well though. However, I know I used to wear Mancatcher as an all over lid color, so that made it easier to see.

Since I knew I had one or two of the MAC Pro Longwear in my makeup collection, I went looking for them today. I actually have four. What particularly excited me was that I do have the gloss finish, Mirror. I’ve been coveting Mirror when I’ve been looking at the Lustre Twins collections. The 3 Longwears I’ve been looking at in particular are Alta Mode / Hip Love, Red Reflection / Mirror, and Red Flame / Orange Flicker.

I paired my Mirror with Purrpetuate today, which is a reddish wine, and I’m really happy with the results. You can see how pretty it is

The 4 shades I have are:
Lasting Lust – smoldering red (cream)
Purrpetuate – a reddish wine
All Nighter – staying power deeply blackened red (cream)
Sappho – a blue based red
I also have 3 clear top coats and 1 Mirror, of course.

After looking through my collection, I think I still want to check out the Alta Mode duo and the Red flame duo at some point. Though really, I’m still waiting in anticipation for the Cult of Cherry to come out. I want to check out the Cult of Cherry and Jampacked lipglass, as well as the Mattenes, which are Rapturous, Kirsch, and Bing. Interestingly enough, I’m interested in the Spiced Chocolate Quad, as the colors Nanogold and Sweet Chestnut are really pretty.
