Today I attempted to give myself a pedicure with a Ms. Pedicure Healthy Heels kit that I’d picked up months ago. I soaked my feet in hot soapy water for about twenty minutes, and then I went to town with the purple foot rasp on my feet.
Now, let me tell you, I have very sensitive and ticklish feet. I can’t really stand to have people touch my feet. It’s taken me years to be able to tolerate foot rubs. So when I tried to use the foot rasp, I was squirming. My heels were in dire need of the rasp, but I had to go at it slowly because of how much it tickled. Still, eventually my feet seemed to be rid of rough skin and felt better. So, I then dried my feet off, and massaged guava passion body butter into my feet and put them in socks. After about an hour, I took them out and was pleased with my result. My feet are soft and look nice.
I’m still loving this Guava Passion shower gel and body butter. The butter is fluffy and light, to me, and feels good when I put it on.
The notes (guava, mango, lily of the valley, monoi de Tahiti, vanilla and musk) in the body butter and shower gel layer well with my perfumes.
So then it was time to paint my toes!
I used:
Orly Bonder base coat
China Glaze Frostbite
China Glaze Tempest
Out the Door top coat
And of course, I followed up by painting my finger nails.
I used:
Orly Bonder base coat
China Glaze Tempest (2 coats)
Out the Door top coat
I want my nails to be purple this week to match some things at the convention I’m going to this week, and this color is perfect for that.
Here’s a picture of my toes. You can see how vivid Frostbite makes Tempest, though the pictures don’t do it justice as it sort of makes it difficult to see the purple of Tempest. You can see all the fire ant bites still on my feet, but they’re healing nicely.
Anyways, my conclusions are that I need to get a real pedicure, and a manicure too! I just am not sure how I’ll be able to handle having someone touch my feet (because of how ticklish I am), but I gotta try.
I’m the only one of my friends to have never had a manicure or pedicure, I think. Even the men in my life have had them!
