I was bit by the creative bug yesterday. I’d been looking at things on Etsy and deciding I wanted a necklace, but I wanted to make it. So I picked up some materials from Michael’s and played around a bit last night.
First I made a black and purple set with my favorite symbol, the endless knot. I think it turned out ok. I also made earrings to match it, and I’m not really happy with how they turned out, but I’ve never made earrings before and couldn’t really figure out what I wanted to with them. These were easy to make and didn’t take very long at all to do.
Next, I made a really long black and pink necklace. This took me probably 4 hours to do, because I double stranded the stringing material, which made it really difficult to fit through the tiny bead holes.
To make simple stuff like this, all I did was use beads, crimping beads, strong stuff to string on, lobster clasps, earring posts, scissors, needle nose pliers and another type of plyers. I probably should have grabbed jump rings and something else to match with the lobster clasp.
