I wanted to try colors for Aromaleigh’s Weekly Makeup challenge and so I grabbed some pinks and burgundys, as the color choices were pink and either burgundy, brown, bronze or blue.

The only color result that I was surprised by was Underworld. I used the indelible eyeliner sealer to make it wet to line my eyes, thinking it would be dark, but when I did that it looked like a golden milky brown color! So after it dried, I lined again with that color to make it darker.

Shade Descriptions
Pink Negligee – sweet and sexy. Pink plush. A silky pink with delicate taupe and violet undertones
Strawberry Despair – Muted strawberry red pearl with copper sparks.
Raisin – A rich and lustrous bordeaux/burgundy shade
Underworld – Deep purplish indigo with specks of blue and deep burgundy.

Eyes:
Eye Shadow Primer
Pink Negligee – all over eye area
Strawberry Despair – on eyelid
Raisin – outer vee and crease
BlackAngel – to darken vee and crease
Lux – on browbone
Underworld – wetlined along upper and lower lash line, then again once dry
Maybelline Sapphire Glimmer blue eyeliner – lower water line
Rimmel Lash XXX black mascara – upper and lower lashes

I went out for a lunch today with Dave, and shortly I’ll be leaving to go indoor rock climbing. Then I’ll get to see how well my eyeshadow holds up with Aromaleigh’s primer. I’m told I’ll end up soaked in sweat. (eww) However, supposedly this is fun.
