I am completely and entirely in love with Fyrinnae’s Lip Lustres, so I must highly recommend them! They are a wonderfully formulated moisturizing lip stain, unlike anything I have ever tried before. I’ve now been using the various 11 shades I have on a regular basis and I love them all. I believe that Fyrinnae currently has 30 shades.
While it’s hard to pick a favorite, my favorite is clearly Ryunome 龍の目 a vibrant, shimmering turquoise.
The Ingredients list is pretty nice, too, as all of the butters and oils are why the lustres are moisturizing instead of drying.
Ingredients: Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Mica, Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Seed Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Iron Oxides, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E, as a natural oil preservative), Flavor.
May contain: Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide, Manganese Violet.
This is the only stain I’ve ever been able to wear on my lips that doesn’t look uneven. Most other lip stains that I’ve tried have pooled on my lips in places, had a sticky consistency and very little staying power. These last for several hours on my lips, even through me continuously drinking water and Vanilla Coke Zero.
Once again, here are the gorgeous swatches of my Fyrinnae Lip Lustres.

Shade & Scent Descriptions:
Monochrome – true opaque black, no shimmer. Sake scent.
Vinyl Shorts – nearly black with deep purple and pink sparkle. Raspberry scent.
My Toi – dark shimmery blue, between royal and navy. Matcha (green tea) scent.
Ryunome – vibrant shimmering turquoise. Lychee scent.
Acidic Cherry – a deep sexy shimmery burgundy. Sweet Rose scent.
Type A – a shimmery, rich garnet red. Lychee scent.
Dark Spiral – a rich, dark purple-wine. Raspberry scent.
Whee! – shimmery light lavender with red/pink highlights. Strawberry cotton candy scent.
Amplifier – vibrant shimmery pink-purple. Lychee scent.
Glitter Kittiez – a deep sparkly magenta-pink. Virgin Mojito scent.
Lace Gloves – a sheer with pink and red highlights. Raspberry scent.
The scents aren’t overpowering, and in fact, I rather enjoy them. Then again, I’m a fan of lychee and raspberries, and I’ve been known to drink nigori a time or two.
The small size of 3.5 ml is $2.50, and certainly won’t break the bank if you decide you need a dozen, while the large size is 5.8ml and $4.50.
If you’re looking for a lip product that will stay on your lips for hours, has good pigmentation, is moisturizing and not sticky, this is definitely the one to try! It’s a great alternative to lipglass.
You can find them at Fyrinnae Cosmetics.

Hello Cotton
I have to join the choir! Usually lip stains don’t work out. They are too drying and the application is a pain. Type A is my fave lip lustre so far! And I love how it feels.
Oh I wish I could use blue lippie. It just makes me look like a corpse. A rather pretty corpse but still just a corpse

If you don’t think you can pull off Ryunome, you might want to try My Toi. Usually Navy looks really good on redheads

Hi Narita,
You can find them at either of the links that I put in the post. One link goes to Fyrinnae’s website. The other link goes directly to the Lip Lustres.

Are these the lil sized ones? If they are have you had to get a f/s yet? I really want to get a crapload of these in January. I told my boyfriend "I promise, no more makeup orders for me, unless it's Fyrinnae lip lustres" He has no clue what a Fyrinnae is or a lip lustre so he hasn't questioned anything lol.
Hi Axs,
Those are the little sizes. I have several of the full sizes
I tried Type A and Acidic Cherry and found both to be too metallic for my preference. (Meanwhile, I found Deceptive Innocence to be too matte.) I can't quite tell from your swatches, but are any of the Fyrinnae Lip Lustres *not* metallic? Thanks for your help!
Hi Justine,
Try these maybe?
Glitter Kittiez – sparkly magenta
Lollipop-Pop – a light pink with blue reflect
Devil Horns – coral-pink with copper reflect (lots of pix of me in the blog wearing this one lately)
Shangri-La – pinkish purple
Trickster – fuschia with blue reflect
I think these are not metallic, but they're not matte, they've got shimmer
Thanks for your advice, Phyrra! I appreciate you taking the time to respond!
I discovered that Fyrinnae answered my question long before I asked it — silly me!
"Another question we see often is: which of the Lip Lustres are the most shimmery (or matte)?"

I am doing a friends makeup for her wedding and was looking at makeup stuff and just happened to run across this product while looking through your site. Somehow I managed to get from your primer reviews, to Aromaleigh stuff (I love Aromaleigh!), to The Body Perfumery, to these! Gotta love those links to other posts…
Anyway, it sounds like these would be a great long lasting lipstick option for her for the wedding, but I would like to get a bunch of colors and see what she likes. Do they come in sample sizes or is the mini the smallest? It's not so much the price, but I would hate to get like 6-8 colors and only end up using a few… P.S. Thanks for your great reviews! They have been super helpful!
Hi OceanEyes,
They come in the sample/mini size and the full size. Glad the reviews help!
You don’t find that the darker colors apply unevenly? I bought Acidic Cherry first because the color looked to-die-for but it just does not look good- it’s too thin and all blotchy no matter how carefully i apply it and how much prepping I do. I then got Ryo-Pinko to try because I thought maybe it was a fluke. I’m liking Ryo-Pinko the more I use it but the Acidic Cherry is just off. I wondered if maybe I got a bad batch or if you have a hard time with it too?
I do find that on me, the very darkest take about 2 or 3 coats to have perfect colo.
Acidic Cherry, Diabolic Masqurade and Type A I have not had problems with.
I had problems with dark spiral, my toi, and vinyl shorts. Now, those are all in the old formula.
The new formula is so much better. Check out Candy Decadence. It’s dark, in the new formula and really amazing to apply. LOVE IT.
And, whoops, that comment sounded much more negative than I meant it to be! I am in love with Fyrinnae and I want to pick up more lustres but I feel like I only have a %50 chance of it being wearable so I wanted to see if what happened with me was a complete fluke, or it happens with only the darkest colors so I know to stay away from those, or whatever. There- that sounds more like I meant it.
