I’m wearing green for St. Patrick’s Day, and I couldn’t resist pulling out OMGWTF for the occasion. I’ve got a bit of Irish in me, so I love to celebrate St. Patty’s day, even if I don’t drink a pint of Guinness. (I don’t like beer)

outside, indirect sunlight
Let me say I really like the texture of the Purely Cosmetics Skin Smoothing Foundation, though I don’t think that Neutral Light is a good match for my skin color. I think it seems a bit too dark. I took a picture outside in indirect sunlight, and then later on when the sun came out I took one in direct sunlight. This seems to be a very full coverage foundation on me, and it’s stayed on my skin all day, not melting off, so it has great stayng power. I don’t have oily skin, so I didn’t have worry about that, but apparently this formula is perfect as it has it hydrates while absorbing oils. I’ll be trying Peaches n’ Cream tomorrow
Here’s what the Purely Cosmetics site says about Skin Smoothing Foundation FormulaThis new formulation is perfect for mature skin. Composed of pure silk powder to hydrate your skin while absorbing excess oils, silica to blur the appearance of fine lines, boron to reduce the visibility of pores, and jojoba oil to nourish your skin. This formula is less suitable for very oily skin types.
What do you think of my lovely St. Patrick’s Day look? How do you like the Purely Cosmetics foundation?

wow!! That’s what I call GREEEN!! I love it Perfect for St. Patty’s Day
______I had to come back and say this, my verification word was whomp! Whomp! There it is! lol
Love that look! I wish I could wear green on my eyes, but it look crappy on me.
That green is awesome! It’s what I imagine a pixie or faerie from Ireland would wear. Perfect for St. Patty’s Day. Great look!
Hi Brooke!Thank you!I highly recommend OMGWTF if you like chartreuse yellow-greens, and if you’re a fan of green in general, Dragon’s Wing is FANTASTIC!
Hi Pixie!Thank you What do you think of the foundation?
Hi Pretty Brown Girl!Thank you I’m 1/4 irish supposedly, and definitely fey Have you tried Fyrinnae yet?
Personally, I don’t think it’s too dark. The only pic that looked too dark was the one in direct sunlight, but there was also shade on you. But… it could be my monitor. I’m curious to hear what everyone else says. The most important part: YOU’RE not comfortable with the color. That in itself makes it the wrong shade.
My guys also declared it not quite the right match. No, the direct sunlight pic was me standing out in direct sunlight because the sun finally came out (it had been overcast all morning, so the sun was in and out. the indirect sunlight pics were taken in the overcast light, without direct light on me). But yes, you’re totally right, I’m not comfortable with it. So I will try Peaches n’ Cream tomorrow At least I have a sense for the texture and how nicely milled the product is. I was impressed by that.
And yes, it could have been your monitor, or my monitor. I’m on a loaner computer and the colors are calibrated REALLY funky on this computer. I can’t get them to look the way they’re supposed to, though I spent an hour trying to fix it. So I know that probably affects my picture editing.
I wanna get one of those monitor calibrators that automatically calibrate with a suction cup on your monitor. It’s on “my list”, but then again, so is the laundry that’s been in the dryer since last night.
If Peaches N Cream doesn’t work, there’s still Fair Maiden…
Me too!My normal laptop is perfectly calibrated, but this loaner is just.. it has too much blue in everything, so even with it minimized it still looks odd I’ve got it as good as it can be, but it’s still off to my eye.
Oh, heck. I just realized that since I thought Neutral Light was most likely your shade, you only have Peaches N Cream in the regular formula, which may be too much coverage for you. I owe some stuff to Older Girl Beauty too, so I’ll send ya some Fair Maiden and Peaches N Cream in the Skin Smoothing. Gotta finish digging my way out of today’s orders first though.
Oh no worries! Let me try the Peaches n’ Cream first and see how it turns out. My undertones are weird because I have a touch of yellow, a bit of peach, a tiny amount of beige and a bit of cream, with some pink overtones (they are the easy ones to see). This is a difficult combination, which is why I sometimes find it very hard to find a match in foundations. I’m planning on trying your Silver, Soft Moon and Sapphire tomorrow I would have worn them today but I remembered it was St. Patty’s day so I needed green
Oh God, you look so pretty! The greens are gorgeous, and I so like this foundation on you! I doesn’t seem to dark in my opinion (at least on my monitor ;)), and your skin looks absolutely flawless!!
Hi Vanessa! Thank you
GORGEOUS! I really love this look on you. And I can see that you love it too as you have that sexy pouty smirk, you minx ;D
Morning Saila!Thank you! I <3 the greens!
Oh Damn!! ………. love it!
