How to Create a Brush Holder for Under $10

I went by Michael’s on Saturday to try and find a vase or container that I could turn into a brush holder. I found EXACTLY what I wanted! It’s basically a rounded off rectangle shape vase. I then bought some purple decor sand and put it into the vase to help hold the brushes up.
All this together was $9.94 with tax!

This is a nice large brush holder, and will be able to accomodate all of my brushes. It’s also much cheaper than the ones I was looking at online, and it matches the decor in my bedroom. My bedroom has black curtains with purple accents, a grey comforter with black accents, and purple pillows that tie in with the grey and black.

I’m extremely happy with this brush holder. If I really wanted to get fancy, I could have swirled black and purple sand together, but I thought this would be nice like this.

If you like this concept, you can go to Michael’s or even try a dollar store to pick up an inexpensive vase in the shape/color you like. Then you can use sand, as I did, or decorative stones to fill the vase to help hold the brushes.
