As you all know, I’m a big fan of MAC’s Paint Pots and Aromaleigh’s Indelible creme eye shadows. Well, you can now count me as a fan of Benefit’s creaseless cream shadow/liner. The lovely Jenn from Mythbuster Beauty sent me one of the new shades, Samba-dy Loves Me. It’s described as a golden fawn, and to me it appears to be a very light shimmery golden brown.

Samba-dy Loves me does not disappoint. It’s super silky and applies easily. I used my finger to apply a layer to my eyelids. Then I applied my crease color, and did another layer on my lids. The color builds up nicely, without creasing or piling in places. I’ve now had it on for 8 hours and it looks as nice as when I first applied it. Though to be fair, I applied it on top of my TFSI, as I do with any eye shadow. So I feel that Benefit’s cream eye shadow lasts as long as Aromaleigh’s creme eye shadow or MAC’s paint pots.

The interesting thing about the texture of the shadow is that it feels very light and silky, lighter than my paint pots, but it still holds well and I’m guessing this is why it doesn’t crease. This is definitely a nice cream eye shadow.
The new Spring 2009 colors from Benefit are as follows:
Samba-dy Loves Me – golden fawn
Flyin’ Down To… – orchid shimmer
Sippin’ n’ Dippin’ – peach parfait
Other colors in Benefit’s creaseless cream shadows are located here and here.
Anyway, on to the look that I devised with Samba-dy Loves Me.
Shade Descriptions:
Samba-dy Loves Me – golden fawn
Painted Roses – Sparkly, glimmering deep coral…leans towards orange, but the pink hue shows up better when the light hits it
Enchant – soft peach with a touch of pink shimmer
Ardor – Soft clean orange with white pearl
Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Benefit Samba-dy Loves Me – 2 layers on eyelid
Fyrinnae Painted Roses – in crease
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese – to highlight
Purely Cosmetics Charcoal Smoke – wetlined on upper lash line, wetlined and then smudged on lower lash line
MAC Pro Lash Mascara in Black
Cheeks:
Fyrinnae Blush in Enchant
Lips:
MAC Slimshine in Ardor
Face:
Aromaleigh Glissade foundation in Alabaster

Incidentally, this is my first time trying Fyrinnae’s Enchant and it is a VERY pigmented blush! I really like it. You only need the tiniest bit to get some color.
I also really like Purely’s Charcoal Smoke. It made a great liner wetlined with indelible eyeliner sealant for this look, and it’s held up really well all this day.
Fyrinnae’s Painted Roses is way more orange on me than coral, but I think it looks very nice paired with a neutral shade like Samba-dy Loves Me.
Nyx’s Cottage Cheese made for a lovely highlighter that wasn’t over the top.
What do you think of this look? I felt it was very Springy.
Incidentally, I did get to paint my nails with Color Club’s Electro Candy and Ultra Violet.
Electro Candy is the pink, and Ultra Violet is the purple.
I used China Glaze’s Strong Anchor Base Coat, and Color Club’s Vivid Top Coat.

I think you can see the turquoise reflects in Electro Pink, but you can really see the turquoise reflects in Ultra Violet. I am in LOVE with these colors!

I was surprised by how much I liked the end result. I was afraid it would be OMG TOO ORANGE, but somehow, and I think it’s because of the cheeks and lid color, it seems to be ok
I thought you might like the orange!
They do have an orange in this Electro Candy set, by the way. I think it’s called Tangerine Scream.

After you mentioned it, I was able to see the blue in Ultra Violet and it’s really stunning!

I just got my Color Club neons today (time for HAPPY DANCE).
I have one of the Benefit Creme shadows too, and it’s lovely. If I didn’t have so many paint pots, I would buy more. I’m also excited about the new creme shadows Estee Lauder is coming out with. They look almost exactly the same as paintpots!

Hi Lilan
Yeah it’s hard to see it in the pink unless you’re wearing it, but I was able to capture the blue in Ultra Violet. If you look at Scrangie’s photos, she did a really good job of capturing the shimmer!
Hi Pixie!
Yay! I hope you like the CC Neons. I really do, but I like neon and I like shimmer.
What color do you have of the benefit shadow? I only have 3 MAC Paint pots: Bare Study, Blackground and Delft. I have 1 Aromaleigh Indelible creme shadow in Pink Pearl. I really like them, and I really like the Nyx Jumbo Eye pencils, which are pretty creamy.

I love shimmery neons, so I’m 100% sure I’ll fall madly in love with these lol!
I think the one I have is called RSPV. It reminds me of bare study, but it’s a little more subtle. I have a lot of paint pots, but I mainly use the matte and satin ones (Painterly, Girl Friendly, Groundwork).

I definitely recommend Color Club. They apply very easily without being too runny or too thick, and the color looks nice. I used to coats, but could have used a 3rd, I think. The one thing I noticed is that the top coat took FOREVER to dry compared to Seche Vite.
Sounds nice
I used to use Bare Study every day, and if not Bare Study, Blackground. I had people recommend Painterly to me. How do you like Girl Friendly?
I want to pick up Too Faced’s Lock Down in I’m Guilty and Jailbait, since I really like TFSI.
