A Matte Look with Aromaleigh & Fyrinnae

I recently watched one of the lovely xSparkage‘s video tutorials, and decided to try a look in a similar style. Her tutorials are great, if you’ve never seen one. I don’t think I’ve tried anything like cutting the crease before, so I’m not sure if this counts for that or not.

For the most part for this look, I played with very matte shades. I normally suck with mattes so don’t use them, but Fyrinnae’s and Aromaleigh’s mattes blended very nicely for this look. Marshmallow Puffs and Looking Glass are both nearly mattes, while Obsession is a matte. I feel like these colors blended easily and look really gorgeous.

Shade Descriptions:
Marshmallow Puffs – satiny white, no sparkle
Obsession – obsessively intense pinky purple matte. blacklight reactive.
Looking Glass – Soft, nearly matte sky shade, leaning towards turquoise rather than pure blue. Slight satin finish.
Lights of Kyoto – pale sky blue with glittery aqua-blue foil, great over black gloss or pink lipstick
Magic Wand – An iridescent fine shimmer with a subtle lavender glow.
You Want Me – a vibrant purple with turquoise shimmer, changes to stunning pink-purple
Blushin 16 – ultimate fuschia blush
Hera – an intense pinky-purple
Funtabulous – Purple with violet pearl

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese – on lid

I really love those colors. Looks great. I have seen her tutorials. My husband actually found them on youtube. I haven’t had the patience lately. I get half way thru and have to stop. She is pretty good though. Uses a little too much stuff on her face for me but she does a great job with it…

Thanks :) I know it’s not exactly what she did, but I really like it.

Wow, it’s a whole different effect when you use matte stuff. Looks great on you! :)

This is stunning! The colors are so vivid and subtle at the same time. (does that make sense?) Anyway it a beautiful look, It really makes me want to try more mattes, more so than other matte looks that I’ve seen. I hope you do more.

      Thank you Lyndsey :)
I definitely recommend Aromaleigh and Fyrinnae mattes, because they seem to blend very easily. The reason I rarely use mattes is because I feel like they’re very hard for me to blend usually.
