I did this look for the Aromaleigh Weekly Makeup Challenge. I think I need a slightly more pigmented pink on my lid. Dave didn’t like the lid color, but would have preferred a little more pink to it. I still think it turned out nicely.

Phyrra my darling! I know it's been ages, haha, although you look beautiful as ever. I love that bold white shadow in that look, it's so retro, and you have killer eyebrows. You're like a caucasian Ivy Tamwood! ;D Yes, I've been getting through that reading list you gave me. I've now read all the Sookie Stackhouse books (including the new one, I got it as an e-book) and all of Harrison's Hollows books. I can't tell you how much I loved them, I love both series so much! Eric and Al both make me totally swoon. Argh, I can't wait for more! I liked Trent at first, but he's so bratty, I've gone off him.
Now I'm deciding between catching up with LKH or starting the other author you mentioned, MaryJanice Davidson. Decisions decisions…
I love the matte shadow on the lid. Looks very pretty!!!!
Hi Ana!MJD books are very quick reads. Glad you like the rest And that's quite a compliment about the Ivy!!! Ty! What have you been up to?
Hi Krista,Thank you
Love your hair longer, it really suits you, although you also carry off that dominatrix bob really well, too.
Man, I downloaded the 11th Anita Blake book as an audiobook to listen to, as I've really taken a liking to audiobooks. It means I can listen whilst at work and doing chores, and I enjoy the added depth the voices have if the narration is good. The Kim Harrison audiobooks are great.
The 11th Anita Blake was the earliest audiobook I could find, although I've only read up to book 6 and that was years ago, so I'll need to re-read them all. I was hoping to like it, since I liked early Anita Blake, and I know it turns into soft porn but hey, I'm no prude, so I didn't think it would ruin the book much. Booooy was I wrong. It seems like all semblance of plot has been removed and replaced with growingly tenuous reasons for Anita to NEED to have sex with as many men as possible at the same time, whilst professing to her chaste virtue because it's completely not her fault she's a massive slut.
I don't mind her being a massive slut, I just wish she'd admit it, and say hey, I'm shagging all these blokes because they're hot, not come up with increasingly contrived and ridiculous justifications. It seems like LKH has gone a bit mad, she created so many male characters that were her own lusty desires and made Anita into a complete Mary Sue, whom everyone wants to sleep with because she's just so fucking awesome (and reminds us of this every chance she gets) and is still so ultra-feminist that I want to choke her with her own diaphragm.
Whew, now I got that off my chest. Whenever I finish a really fantastic series, I'm left feeling frustrated that a) reality and b) other books don't live up to how fantastic it was, and I get all annoyed looking for something simularly immersive and wonderful.
There's no MJD audiobooks sadly, but since I've tired of the LKH option I think I'll pick up the MJD books anyway.
Apart from all that, I've been doing all right. My boyfriend got me an Xbox 360 for my birthday, so I've been geeking out with that and obsessing over Lost Odyssey, an awesome RPG made by the guys responsible for Final Fantasy 1-9 – you know, the GOOD ones, before Squaresoft became Square Enix and all that was right with the world became a crapfest. And I've been obsessing over Guild Wars, too, of course, although that's taken a backseat. I'm pretty obsessive over all my interests, like when I got into makeup, I did nothing but makeup. When I start a book series, I do nothing but read until it's over, etc. I guess that's why I've been gone so long, I've been cycling through my various hobbies without a break!
One day I'll grow up and learn all things in moderation, or something. But until then, I'll just be annoyed and impatient waiting for more Charlaine Harris and more Kim Harrison.
Hi Ana!Thank you I'm enjoying the long hair but still pining for the short bobs, too ;P
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, AB kinda turns into badly written porn and bdsm, very Mary Sue. However, I just finished the most recent book Skin Trade, and it's gotten a lot better. I'm definitely not a prude, but I enjoy well written sex scenes, and not repeated 'tight and wet.'
I'm still obsessed with World of Warcraft and have 3 80s, 2 of which are Ulduar raid caliber.
Yes, everything in moderation, including moderation.
