Since I knew I was going away for the weekend, I thought this would be the perfect time to take some things from my SkinCareRX Travel Essentials kit and give them a try.
Ray, Dave and I used the MD Formulations Facial Cleanser every day. It’s a pretty nice cleanser and the deluxe sample size was more than enough for the 3 of us for the weekend. There’s still a ton left in the container. Because it’s a such a large sample but it’s in a solid container, it’s easy to pop into a bag and go. A lot of people will really like this cleanser because it contains glycolic acid. It’s certainly easier to pack on a trip than my beloved Angels On Bare Skin.
I wore the Comptoir Sud Pacifique – Vanille Coco several times while we were gone. I just love this scent! It’s described as a top note of heliotrope moves into a heart note of coconut milk and finishes with a base note of vanilla pod. I mostly smell a bit of coconut with warm vanilla and it’s so relaxing. At some point I’d love to pick up a full size bottle. This is my favorite item from the kit so far!
I tried out the Derma New Firmiing Eye Creme, even though I don’t really feel like I have wrinkles around my eyes. I have super sensitive skin and have had problems with allergic reactions from eye cremes in the past, so I have avoided eye cremes for a while. This one is really very nice! It’s got pentapeptide-3, which is supposed to reduce the appearance for fine lines and wrinkles, shea butter to soften and moisturize, and green tea to sooth and fight free-radical damage.
I do think that this travel kit is a great idea. These kits just went on sale yesterday at SkinCareRx’s site. It’s only $15 if you make a purchase of $100. What I particularly like about it is that many of the products seem to be made with sensitive skin in mind, which is really nice. This is definitely a fun kit to try out.
