I recently had the opportunity to review Meow Cosmetic’s latest release, the Lost Rainforst Collection. I’ve been very excited to see Meow release new collections because of the new formulation method that they’ve been using. They released a few teaser shades at Christmas with this new formula, and I loved the colors, so I’ve been waiting to see more done in this style. The Caribbean Escape collection and now the Lost Rainforest collection contain colors with this formula.
Color Descriptions of the Eye Shadows:
Amazon -deep forest with gold iridescence
Boa – dark charcoal with gold iridescence
Bromeliad – luminous vivid coral with multi hued iridescence
Canopy – medium golden green sunkissed with light metallic yellow sheen
Endangered – medium rose tinged amethyst with red and gold iridescence
Expedition – golden bark-brown with gold luminescence
Iaru – brilliant blue with blue iridescent
Macaw – molten yellow with pearlized golden shee
Mantis – clear and bright this complex blue rubs down to reveal aqua and gold iridescence
Mayantu – smoky blue with gold and blue iridescence
Nabau – rich mysterious purple with blue sheen and iridescent flash
Piranha – gleaming teal with aqua iridescence
Pitcher Plant – fun and spirited this bright green has a pearly texture and golden sheen
Poison Dart Frog – gorgeous bright sky blue glistening with luminous blue and gold sheen
Siren – saucy and sassy purplish mauve with golden iridescence
Spider Monkey – warm bronzed golden brown with copper and golden iridescent sheen
Torch -like the muted embers of a fire, this golden peach delights with red and gold fire and sheen
Tribal – ambiguous and muted this amethyst gem gleams with gold iridescent fire
Toucan – brilliant ruby pink emblazoned with red iridescence and gold fire
Waterfall – deep dark blue with brilliant gold fire
Color Descriptions of the Blushes:
Canna – ripe fresh cherry pink
Heliconia – peachy pink infused with coral iridescence
Color Descriptions for the Iridescent Glows:
Chameleon – iridescent glow with gold and copper shine
Morpho – golden iridescent pink
Queen Alexandria – light and airy iridescent golden glow
I went ahead and swatched the entire collection for you. I’ll be doing looks with this collection in the days ahead.

Those are lovely! Spider Monkey and Boa caught my eye immediately, followed closely by Piranha and Nabau. Please do an eye look using these shades when you have nothing better to do than indulge me…ha-ha!

My faves from this collection are Mayantu and Boa. I love duochromes, and Mayantu is like Aromaleigh's Arabesque, but with a smokey blue green base. Usually I can't wear colors like this (AL Serenade for example) but this worked! Also, Boa is neat in that it has a gold shimmer over a charcoal base as in the description if applied lightly, but when applied over a primer, it becomes more of a deep olive color. I usually can't wear olives with my warm skin tone, but this one works! Yay! Thanks for the swatches!

Yes, Mayantu is Gorgeous, too.
Boa was really impressive to me because it blends well with multiple colors and looks good on its own. It even looks good with pinks!

I watched the video again and both look so nice! And the new Taboo-blushes sound very interesting too… I ordered sample of almost everything, but then it's so hard to choose what to order

My order just arrived and I got full sizes of Mantis, piranha and Boa. Those are just perfect pigments! I also LOVE Canna blush, it's so pretty
I already swatched Taboo blushes but can't decide what to order full size… Too many pretty ones
