Skindinavia Finishing Sprays Review

A while ago, I was contacted by Skindinavia to see if I wanted to try out their finishing sprays. I said sure, and requested a spray for mineral makeup. I also received a Skindinavia spray in my BeautyFix 3 set.

Now I’ve tested the following finishing sprays:
1. Cool Flash – for heat resistance
2. Long Wear – the original
3. Mineral Makeup – for mineral makeup

Let me just say, I LOVE THEM!

First off, the Cool Flash works very well in the hot, humid summers of Florida.
Secondly, the Long Wear seems to work pretty well, even if it’s not made specifically for the heat or mineral makeup.
Finally, the Mineral Makeup finishing spray is pretty darn amazing.

I put the Mineral Makeup finishing spray to the test not only out in the heat of Florida, but also with me running around like crazy at Dragon Con. My makeup looked great from the time I got up in the morning until I took it off at night.

I had no problems with my sensitive skin with any of these sprays. I didn’t break out or get bumps, which is a constant worry for me when I try products.

I used 3 to 4 sprays of product on my face each time and had fantastic results. If you’ve been thinking about trying these wonderful finishing sprays, head over to Beautyfix to pick up Beautyfix3 and get one, or to Skindinavia.

This is one product that I was concerned there was a ton of hype and that it wouldn’t live up to my expectations. However, the mineral makeup finishing spray exceeded my expectations.

Have you tried Skindinavia? What did you think of it?

I've never tried them, but they sound great! I have really sensitive skin, so, it's good to hear they didn't break you out. The last time I tried a face spray I had an allergic reaction. I'll have to try and check these out sometime.

Did you use a primer with these? How did you apply the spray? Just spray it on or did you do any buffing afterward? Any comments on oiliness in your T-zone? Yes, I know I ask a lot of questions. :D

    Hi L :)
I've got a better than 50/50 chance to break out or get bumps with most products so it was nice to not have it happen with this.

    Hi Apriltini,
I've tested it both with and without a primer, since I don't normally wear a primer. It works well with both. I didn't buff at all afterwards. No oilyness in my t-zone. Hope this helps :)

Oooh, I bookmarked their page, but was also afraid it was all hype at that price. I would be interested in the mineral makeup spray, but also the cooling spray since I sweat at the drop of a hat and that makes me oily. How did the Cool flash work? Did it keep your face feeling cooler for a while? Did you have to re-spray?

Thanks Phyrra. I don't usually wear a face primer either, and have some problems with the foundation fading after about 8 hours, and my T-zone gets a bit oily, depending on what finishing powder I use. I'm almost always looking for new products that do something useful and easily. Aren't we all? :D

    Hi Tally,
They all seemed to work pretty well, but my preference is for the mineral makeup spray. I didn't re-spray at all, but I was running around like crazy.

    Hi Apriltini,
Getting foundation to last 8 hours is good :) I do find that if I use a primer it can help extend that a bit, but this finishing spray lasted until I went to bed, so I was happy.

I tried the one in my beautyfix kit the original one. I did not like it at all. After awhile my face looked like an oil slick. It was so shiny looking. So I have a full bottle….I actually like a primer better even though I only use primer once in a while…

I definitely think that the Mineral makeup one is the best. I'm so sorry to hear that it turned into an oil slick on you, ew!

Speaking of primers, Benefit's That Gal brightening primer really impresses me. I wore it again at Dragon con on Saturday and couldn't believe just how flawless my face looked.
