Sephora Friends & Family 2009

Sephora is having their Friends and Family sale right now.
The code is FF2009.

Here’s what I ordered:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance – a staple of mine
Clarisonic Mia in Pink – an investment in my skin
Stila Lip Glaze Mini Trio – a gift for a friend

My free samples:
Leslie Blodgett perfume
DKNY Be Delicious perfume
Versace Bright Crystal perfume

100 Point Perk:
Philosophy Purity Made Simple

The Clarisonic Mia Pink was originally $149, and with 20% off I saved $29.80. Everyone has told me how wonderful this is for skin. I’ve been nervous of it because of my sensitive skin, but since this comes with a sensitive brush head, I’m going to give it a try. Plus, it’s pink.

The Sephora Friends and Family sale is definitely a good time, in my opinion, to stock up on everyday staples such as eyeliners and primers, to stock up on gifts and palettes, and for a big ticket item, such as the Clarisonic.

Are any of you partaking in the Sephora Friends & Family Sale?
If so, I’d love to know what you’re getting!

      I plan on it.

I've been so impressed with the UD Trifecta and the smog liner they had on sale a couple months ago that I'm stocking up! This is the best eye liner ever, I'm so oily and not even half way through the day I normally have eye liner all over the place. The UD stayed all day and night and looked great all day too.

Um maybe the big huge Sephora palette, Tarte, Smashbox or some other palette. A Duwop sharpner, and maybe some cologne for my brother and whatever jumps in my cart. D@mn Sephora!

      Hi Jessica,
I love the UD 24/7 liners, though my staple is Zero, along with Yeyo. I use those almost every day :)

I have dry skin but apparently oily lids, because a lot of liners will smear under my eye, mascara too. That's why I usually only put mascara on my top lashes.

Sounds like you'll be getting some great stuff. I like Tarte :)

I just got the MUF HD Foundation in 107 Pink. Hopefully this shade works better with my skin than the 110.

Kat Von D palette in Gypsy. I'm a sucker for green eye shadows. Maybe because I'm a redhead? Dunno.

      TheBalm Sexy Mama Matte Powder.

The samples I picked out was Murad Energizing Pomegranate Lip Protector SPF 15, Leslie Blodgett Eau de Parfum Spray, and dr. brandt pores no more vacuum cleaner/ pore refiner.

Yay, I'm broke now. lol. Damn you Sephora!!

I've been eying on the Calrisonic brush, but keep getting mixed reviews. Either people love it or hate it. Let us know when you get it in soon. :D

      Hi Morgan,
I looked at that pomegranate lip protector, coz I love pomegranate!
I hope you like the MUFE foundation :)
I bet you definitely like green because it goes so nicely with red hair, but don't forget that sometimes bronzes and purples can too!

I'd love to hear what you think about the matte powder.

Most people I've spoken to love the Clarisonic brush, I'll definitely give a review on it!

I only picked up a few things, mostly because I'm well stocked, but also I didn't feel right spending a lot of money right now. I bought a BE Flawless Definition mascara, BE eye primer, and a Bliss Blood Orange & White Pepper sugar scrub. Would you believe I'm still working on the Bliss Lemon & Sage scrub I got last year? Oh! And a Sephora/OPI polish: Absinthe… I'm looking forward to that one. :)

      Hi Apriltini!
Nothing wrong with not spending a lot of money! I felt like I was definitely splurging by getting the Clarisonic, but it's supposed to be a very good investment for skin. I can totally believe that you're not through the scrub! I still have my Sally B's Skin Yummies Lemon Sage scrub that I'm working through. It smells SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!

Wow great stuff! The clarisonic is so tempting and exciting but there's no way in hell i'll be able to afford it for years and years.
I'm so jealous, we used to have sephora here in the UK but it went bust or something. I long for make up for ever and all the other exciting brands :)

I did and I bought Urban Decays Show Pony Collection. I have the Clarisonic Pro brush set that I bought thru my medical spa and it really does work. I love it. I need to order a brush head but they do last for at least 3 months…Not too bad…You will really like it…Enjoy!!!

      Hi Lillian,
I was hesitant because of the price, but so many of my friends, as well as fellow bloggers, and reviews have been so positive, I feel like I have to try it.

I thought there was a Sephora UK? Wow! That's crazy that it went down.

      Hi Krista,
I would love to see you using the Show Pony Collection!
I remembered that you loved the Clarisonic :)
I'm nervous because of how sensitive my face is, but I hope it goes ok.

    • http://www.blogger.com/profile/14826519045476463458 Lillian Funny Face

Yeah we had sephora for years and then it suddenly disappeared. They still have it in france and other european countries though, it's weird. But my main gripe is that none of the sites will ship internationally :(
Also i read a review somewhere on the clarisonic for sensitive skin (ill try and find it if you haven't read it) that says it was really good and gentle, so hopefully it will be fine.

    • http://www.blogger.com/profile/02168093054712781267 Phyrra

      Hi Lillian,
That is so strange that it disappeared!
Hm, so when I looked online it says that you could order from Sephora.com, (on yahoo answers) since the ones in the UK shut down. However, someone else recommended looking for the products you like on QVC at a discount. I'd love to read the review if you can find it. When I had my first facial done this year it was borderline painful for me, so that's what makes me so nervous.

I checked again on sephora and sadly they only ship to countries where they actually have stores! I need to find someone in the US to send it to and then send it on to me, or get one a US PO box. I'll have a look at QVC though, thats a good idea.
      here's the review:

hopefully it'll help a little bit!
