Now that I’ve used the new 6 piece eye brush set from ecoTools a few times, I can give you a good assessment on it. I purchased my set from Makeup Masala’s Makeup Mix Shop for $9.99.
The set contains:
Large Eye Brush
Angled Crease Brush
Petite Eye Shading Brush
Highlighting Brush
Smudge Brush
Hemp & Cotton Case with Mirror
We’ll go from left to right.
Large Eye Brush
The Large Eye Brush is also known as the blending brush in the set. It’s huge. Like, it covers most of my eye. Now that I’ve used it to blend a few times, I think it’s ok, but not great. I prefer my MAC blending brush or my ecoTools crease brush for blending. I think this one is actually pretty good for depositing a wash of color all over the eye area.
Angled Crease Brush
The Angled Crease Brush is very nice. It looks puffy and wide, but it works really well on my hooded eyes for doing my crease. The other angled crease brush that I have is about 1/4 this thick, so I think this one works better, especially if I’m going for a more diffused and blended looking crease. I really like this one.
Highlighting Brush
This is the highlighting brush. So I’ve used it as a highlighter and was pleasantly surprised by how it deposited color. It’s nice. This is more typical of a brush shape that I like for blending though. However, I think it works very well for both. Again, I like this one.
Petite Eye Shading Brush
This is the brush that I used to apply lid color. It may seem a bit small at first, but really it gives you a lot of control with applying color precisely on the lid. It’s a good brush, since it’s not too big and I like having the extra control. It’s perfect for applying inner lid color, too.
Smudge Brush
I didn’t really use this as a smudge brush, but I did use it to put color on my lower lash line. It also worked to apply color in my lower crease, before I followed up with the angled crease brush and then blended the two colors. I like it pretty well.
The case and mirror are ok, but honestly, I’d rather see an angled eye liner brush with this set, since that would make it a complete set to me.
For $9.99 this is a steal! While I can’t find it up on the Paris Presents ecoTools website, you can definitely pick this up at Makeup Masala, and most likely you’ll see this set popping up at Target and Walgreens.
The bristles on these brushes are super soft taklon, and they’re 100% cruelty free. The ferrules on these brushes are made from recycled aluminum. The handles are made from bamboo, which is a very sustainable plant so they have a low impact on the environment. Another great thing about them is no matter how often I wash them, they don’t get hard or fall apart.
I love my ecoTools brushes and I will definitely purchase more again in the future.
This is a great set to purchase if you’re looking to build up your eye brush collection.

Hello Cotton
I could really use some new eye brushes, so, this looks really nice to me. Thanks for the review, hopefully I'll be able to pick up one of these sets soon.:)
Great review! I have a few of these myself with my fave being a large powder brush.
Hi Laura,
Honestly, these are probably my favorite brushes at this point, moreso than my MAC or other ecoTools because they are so soft!
Hi Lipstick Rules,
They're really great. Their retractable recycled kabuki brush is my daily brush for foundation.
I have several of their powder brushes and other eye brushes, and their kabukis, too
hmm i just ordered this yesterday along with a few elf brushes. I look forward to trying them out! still need to find a stiffer angled brush for my brows though.
p.s i found the 6pc Ecotools set at my local Kmart today for $40!!! Prices are ridiculous for cosmetics in New Zealand.
Oooh I want the ecotools set you have! I have a set from Target that has a blush, foundation, eyeshadow AND an angled eyeliner brush (what youre looking for right?), along with an eyebrow comb…. but Id love a set completey devoted to my eyes! I must look for it!
I've seen the other brushes and Target and have never bought them…I've only heard good things about ecotools. This set is a great price for what you get.
Hi Catherine,
EcoTools makes a stiff angled brush that you can use on your brows. I have one from them that I use for that purpose. And WOW crazy prices at in NZ. That makes me sad! NZ is one of the countries outside of the USA that I always thought would be great to move to.
Hi AFEcoMom,
You can always order it from Makeup Masala.
I hope you like it
Hi Mama Jen,
They're really nice. I love how soft they are.
my favorite eco tools brushes are the blush brush and the angled liner brush
Hi Kelsey,
The angled liner is great
I ordered this from drugstore.com but they are backordered so here I am waiting for these to arrive. Your review is very thorough (thanks!) and it's making me more antsy. I have been using the Alicia Silverstone set (the one with the duo-fiber brush) and I love it.
Hi Donna,
I found this set at Ulta, and I've also ordered it from Makeup Masala's Makeup Mix Shop.
