Aromaleigh Exclusive – New Lipsticks!

The lovely Kristen from Aromaleigh sent me some new lipsticks that will be coming out soon! Kristen let me know that she wanted to dip her toe into the more dramatic lipstick colors, but keep them wearable and multi-purpose so that they will have a broader appeal. They’re meant for layering, toning and enhancing lip shades. After experimenting with these lipsticks, I wholeheartedly agree with them being wearable and multi-purpose.

The colors are called Violetta, Mina and Elissabetta. I really like the names. They smell like chocolate, like the rest of Aromaleigh’s lipsticks, and I really love that.
These are my observations and color descriptions for the colors, not the official ones.
Violetta – sheer dark reddish purple

Mina – sheer black with silver sparkles
Elisabetta – deep sheer dark blue with silver sparkles

Violetta is my favorite, and it is reminiscent of Urban Decay’s Apocalypse. It’s a sheer red-based purple color and looks good on its own or with another lipstick. It is good to warm up a color. I also think that of the three, this is the most universally flattering shade.
This is Violetta with Nyx’s Deep Purple liner and MAC’s Dazzleglass in Jingle Jangle.
Mina is a sheer black, which will remind many of Urban Decay’s Oil Slick. This lipstick is very sheer on its own, but will look good layered on top of other lippies to darken them.

Elisabetta is a gorgeous sheer blue. This is good for cooling off a color.

I’m really excited by these new lipstick offers from Aromaleigh! I think that these are a great way to get into more dramatic lip products.

These shades will be offered as a part of the Bete Noire Lipsticks.

I would love to hear if you’re interested in trying these when they come out. What do you think of them?

Wow those are pretty! I'm a sheer tint or YLBB lippie person, but I really like the look of these. I think they look quite wearable. Can't wait to try them. Violetta and Mina are my favs, but I will have to give Elisabetta a try too.

    Hi MichelleB,
I'll try to do some more lip combinations with them to show off how they work. I think you'll like these with a YLBB just to change things up a bit :)

Oooh, exciting! Those look lovely. I like the idea of having some lipsticks in colors that will be useful for layering and "tweaking" other shades. They also look pretty on their own. I'm really interested in Elisabetta– blue lippies of any type are so hard to find, so it will be great to have one in AL's superior formula. Very cool, thanks for sharing!

I love Aromaleigh lip products… these are really different! I like them on you. I probably will try all of them :-) (The smell is one of the things that make them great!)

Those look so fun! I'll bet you can layer them beautifully!

I really like Elisabetta the most! The name "Mina" is my favorite though, so I might just get that one for the name!

When I heard Kristen's news that she would be releasing a blue lippie, I was very disinterested, but now I like the idea of it,especially that it will cool down shades that are too warm. I also like Mina, because it will give me the option of going darker with my lippies. These look really pretty on you,Phyrra.

    Hi Ella,
    You're quite welcome!

    Hi Abby,
I totally agree, as I love chocolate <3

    Hi Lyndsey,
    I will try!

    Hi Lisa Kate,
I love the name Mina too!

    Hi Starlight,
You definitely should try it :)

Ohhh, I love Violetta! Then again, I love the Bette Noire lippies.

I had buy two Juliettes because my friend decided she had to have it, took it & left a $10.00 in my purse. LOL!

Looks pretty, but too sheer for me…I love aromaleigh eyeshadows, but I dislike most of the lipsticks. I like opaque lipcolor, and while her's are pretty they're just too sheer. I might be interested in Mina though, to darken my lipsticks.

Ooh, I am definitely interested in trying these… especially Mina!

    Hi Hoyden,
    Hahaha! I like Juliette :)

    Hi Cassie,
I do know that Kristen will be working on more opaque lippies. These are sheer because they're meant to be layered, not really worn alone, aside from Violetta. Have you tried the Gothic Lolita color cremes? Lollypop is a fairly opaque red. I tend to use it with a red lipliner though.

    Hi Melissa,
Keep an eye out for them :)

    Hi Laura,
I think you'll have fun with them :)

I own Oil Slick already, so I'd give Mina a pass, but Elisabetta looks like it'll be a must-have. I have a drawer full of too-warm lippies.

I really like these. I think I'd probably get a lot of use out of Violetta. Can't wait for these to go on sale!!!!!

    Hi Amanda,
Yay I hope it works for you :)

    Hi MissTat,
    I think you'll love violetta!

Definitely getting these babies the moment they come out. I'm so super excited that Kristen's starting to bring out some more "eccentric" colours– I LOVE crazy lipstick shades. But I'm also very happy to have dark shades in sheer tints, too– maybe I can finally wear black lippies to work!

  19. Phyrra December 18, 2009 at 11:24 am #

    Hi Bloated Ewe,
Yay! I'm glad she's doing some eccentric colors too. I'm very happy that she specifically made these for layering though. I think that will help ladies who are unsure of darker colors and give them more confidence to try the eccentric things.

Miss K has released the new 3 Bete Noire lippie colors (purple, black, blue) and you're the only blogger who has swatches and reviews of them!
