Orly’s Metal Chic Metallic Matte Collection

I couldn’t stop myself from painting my nails with Orly’s Metal Chic Metallic Matte collection. I literally just painted my nails and and took pix. I haven’t cleaned up the edges.

Nails:
Orly Bonder Base Coat
2 coats of color
Main Nail Color- Glam Rock (a coppery shade)
Ring Fingers – Iron Butterfly (a golden shade)
Thumbs – Solid Gold (a dark grey shade)
I used China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat on the tips.

I will try and get pictures of these colors tomorrow in the sun. I actually think that I like these the best of the mattes that I’ve tried. I’m very glad that I purchased these today at Sally’s.

These colors have surprising depth for mattes, as well as shimmer without being shiny.

Have you tried any matte nail polish that you liked?
Have you tried these?

I definitely feel like Glam Rock and Solid Gold are perfect for the Holidays.

Oooh I like these and I *really* like what you did with the tips. The only matte I own is that Maybelline purple I just got at Dollar Tree yesterday, and it's got a tiny bit of silver sparkle but nothing like these Orlys. I'm not really a matte person but the ones in this review make me seriously reconsider. :) xo

    Hi Y,
I hope you can find them, I like them :)

    Hi Jessica,
    They're really pretty :)

    Hi Recessionista,
I just thought that if I added a top coat to my nail tip it would help them to chip less, and it would look cute. Glad you like!

Every time I go to Sally's I see all these colors I think are so boring, then I see them in someone's blog and they're gorgeous. I might have to start being riskier in my polish purchases!

Iron Butterfly looks really nice! I'm using some OPI Suede Ink polish right now and I really like the way it looks, but it chips within 24 hours.:(

I really like Iron Butterfly! I have a matte topcoat, but it makes everything chip sooo fast!

    Hi Heather,
I'm not really a fan of mattes, but I am a fan of metallics.

    Hi Laura,
Yay! The suede finish is nice.
So far my nails haven't chipped, but here's what I did with them.

    1. with the orlys you can use the Orly Bonder base coat.
    It's a sticky base.
    2. I think that by painting the tips with a top coat, it keeps mine from chipping, just like when you wrap the polish around the tips.

    Hi Lisa Kate,
Another thing that can help with that is to make sure you get all the oils of your nails before panting them. So washing your hands with an antibacterial soap or using nail polish remover on your nails will help. Then use a sticky base, then put on the matte color.
