Poodles on Etsy (and elsewhere)

One of the things that I love about Etsy is that you can get cute and custom stuff there. A while back I contacted a seller who was really nice and made me some cute Standard Poodle vinyl decals. I finally got around to applying them on my laptop.

Oodles of poodles!

I think the Purple and Teal designs turned out really well. The pink was the most difficult of the three.
Seriously, this is the cutest standard poodle line art that I’ve seen. I’d probably wear this on a shirt or on a purse if I ever found one.

I’m very picky about what poodle designs I like or don’t like, but these are definitely cute to me.

I love the art from one of the sellers, Lynn Culp.

Pink Poodle

Blue Poodle

Silver Grey Poodle

I also like the cute ModDog Shop Poodles:

Show Clip if only it didn’t have hip rosettes. I hate the hip rosettes.

Puppy Clip

And even this greeting card from GreerDesigns:

Holiday Poodle

While the following aren’t from etsy, they’re some of the few poodle shirts I’ve found that were cute. Most poodle shirts I’d never touch. I want standard, not toy or miniature:

Poodle Geek Shirt

blah shirt but cute poodle

men’s shirt this one cracks me up.

So how about you? What do you prowl for on Etsy?

I love the decals on your lappie!
I prowl etsy for so many things, coffin goodies, anything spider/spiderweb….I live on Etsy darkside!

You should commission a piece of artwork of Phaedra from Lynn Culp. Maybe hint to your guys that you'd like one as a present?

I scour etsy for things with robin's/birds on them, stuff made of sterling silver (in particular vintage-inspired jewelry). I've purchased a few handmade purses in the past, some jewelry for myself and DD, etc.. I just bought a necklace that I'm waiting to arrive. It's made of silver and has "life is sweet" and a little cupcake handstamped on it. I thought of Kristen when I saw it. I bought in on a whim and then decided to keep it for myself because I had already bought (and mailed) a cute crocheted cupcake ornament for her and didn't want to seem like a stalker (lol).

    Hi Evil Angel,
I also look for cute bats. I like a particular style with my bats, so I tend to look for those. And sometimes I look for teal-blue accessories.

    Hi Robyn,
I might actually have one of those in the works from another artist :) He promised me a picture, I just needed to decide on what I wanted. I'll email you what I'm thinking.

    Aww sounds adorable!

Cute stuff! I look around at random stuff on Etsy, but I've yet to buy anything there.

Aw, cute poodles! I search for steampunk, victorian, and tribal bellydance stuff. I love etsy! It's just taken me a while to get used to it since I've been using eBay for over 6 years. My first purchases on there were for yummy smelling body lotion. :-)

    Hi Laura,
I often look and look and look, but rarely buy. It takes something that really speaks to me to buy.

    Hi Krista,
You should do a post on a jewelry haul!

    Hi Blix,
    Very cool!
I still search ebay sometimes and find cool items. Most recently I picked up these earrings – http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120460160928

I bought a custom pet doodle of my parents' poodle from lmnoprint.com – she does great work.

I try to stay away from Etsy now, I end up making $1000 wishlists every time I browse. XD

    Hi Maryn,
    Interesting art :)

    Hi Heather,
hehe, I know etsy can be dangerous!

OMG… POODLES! I thought about you and Phaedra today. There was a lady at the Petco with a cinnamon colored medium sized poodle with a traditional cut. I was like awwww… then I was like.. I wonder if Phaedra was that size?

I love all dogs, but poodles always remind me of my grandmas bathroom mirror. There were these 'hand painted'-esque poodles in the corners of the mirror. They were black with a french cut, each was doing something very girly like holding a mirror and or doing their 'hair'.They were all garnished with what looked like red geraniums. I loved those poodles.

But the moral of this story was…(yes, I have a point) I saw the little poodle and I thought of you two and I hope everyone is doing Ok.

Plus I really love those decals. SUPER CUTE!

    Hi Michelle,
Awww, Phaedra is a standard, so she's tall (her head is near my hip, and when she's on her hind legs her head is near my shoulder).

    Aww, the mirror sounds gorgeous.

Phaedra is currently stable and doing ok. So we're just taking things day by day, hoping to get through the next few weeks and find out that she's not got Addison's disease.

    :( (

I'm sorry. At least you know what you two are dealing with. I guess when you mentioned her weight was 38 lbs. I thought she was shorter.

I'm glad she is stable right now. I can only hope that things get better.

    Hi Michelle,

We're really hopeful right now, because she's been stable and her bloodwork is good. I just hate that we're not going to know until January what's going on, because of having to take the prednisone down slowly.

Yep, we call her the tall, skinny blonde in the house :) Standard females should be between 40 and 60 lbs. She's thin but healthy. She's at the right height requirement. She's as tall as my friend's doberman, and that dog has about 30 pounds on her!
