I realized when I was perusing my blog that I’ve never done an in-depth review on Fyrinnae and decided to remedy that.

Fyrinnae is not technically a mineral makeup company. They are, however, a vegan company that creates some amazing and unique products.

Foundation
While they used to carry foundation, and in fact I LOVED their mica-free foundation, they discontinued it so that they could focus on their eye shadows. I have Moonstone, a pale neutral, which matched me nicely, and Quartz, the ultra pale neutral, for when I wanted to look paler than normal. I’m not sure if these products will ever come back, but they were nice, so I wanted to mention them. I really loved that they did a mica-free formula, which is great for people who have sensitive skin. Considering how lovely their eye shadows are, I’m ok with the fact that they foundations are no longer available.
I believe this was around $7.00 for 6 gram net weight.
Ingredients: zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, rice powder, silica, iron oxides
Inks Liquid Eyeliner $10.75
These are currently being reworked, but they’re awesome. My favorite is a shade called You Want Me, which is similar to the eye shadow color Faerie Glamour. It’s a vibrant purple with turquoise shimmer that changes to pink-purple. I liked to use this color along my lower lash line.
You can see You Want Me along my lower lash line in this image.
Blush $6.50
Fyrinnae currently has some blushes, aptly named glow blushes, since they give you a lit from within sort of glow to your cheeks. There are several dye free shades. Mesmerize is a really nice pink shade, Enchant is a lovely peach glow, and Charm is a dolly pink in hue. I like the blushes, and I definitely think that they’re best when used with a fiber optic blush brush, to give a light flush to cheeks. They’re about 6 grams net weight, and they come in a 10 gram jar that’s packed full.
Ingredients: Mica. May contain: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Manganese Violet, FD&C Red#40, D&C Red#7, D&C Red#21, FD&C Yellow#06. Colors that do not contain dyes are noted on the site.

Velvet-Gel Silica Primer $5.50
This is a FANTASTIC primer for those of you who like primers. It’s a gel, which my skin adores. I’ve had no problems with using it with my sensitive skin and I think it’s great for use with any type of foundation. I just dab a bit on to my cheeks, chin, forehead and nose, and then spread out a thin layer on my skin. It gives me a great canvas to apply my foundation. Each jar contains about 1/2 ounce of product.
Each jar contains about 1/2 ounce of product.
Ingredients: Silica (silicon dioxide), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Purified Water, Acrylates/C-10 Alkyl Acrylates(this makes it into a gel), Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Potassium Sorbate
Pixie Epoxy $7.50
This is a HOLY GRAIL product for me. It’s sort of a mixing medium. I apply this to my eyes after I apply my eye shadow primer, I spread a thin coat on my lids with my finger tips, and then I apply my shadows. It gives the appearance of foiling without the hassle and mess. I love this because I can now have even more vibrant shadows and shimmer without a mess. If you only try one product, I recommend this one. It has seriously changed how I wear eye shadows. I LOVE it!
Each tube contains about 10 ml of product.
Ingredients: Glycerin (vegetable derived), Purified Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Silica, Acrylamide/Ammonium acrylate copolymer, Polyisobutene, Polysorbate 20, Propylene Glycol, Carbomer, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Potassium Sorbate.

This is how eye shadow looks when used with Pixie Epoxy.
Lip Lustres $4.50
These lip lustres are an awesome and unique lip product. I’ve actually written a laudation to them! They’re like a cross between a lip balm, a lip stain and a lip color, because to me they’re like a moisturizing lip stain, unlike anything I’ve tried before. Most lip stains show every perfection in my lips, but these do not! If you look at the ingredients list, they’ve got a lot of butters and oils, which are a big part of the reason that they’re so nice.

You can see some of my lip lustre swatches here.
These have replaced MAC lipglasses as my go to lip products, to be honest with you. I just can’t get over the fact that they last for hours, through eating and drinking. The scents are never overpowering, just a barely perceptible note. While I have probably 3/4 of the colors offered in the mini-sizes, I have a respectable collection of the full sizes, too. My favorites are:
Lollipop-Pop – a vibrant light pink with a blue highlight
Ryunome – a vibrant shimmering turqouise
Glitter Kittiez – a deep sparkly magenta-pink
Shangri-La – vibrant azalea purple-pink
Acidic Cherry – a deep sexy shimmery burgundy
Each tube contains about 5.8 ml of product.
Ingredients: Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Mica, Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Seed Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Iron Oxides, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E, as a natural oil preservative), Flavor.
May contain: Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide, Manganese Violet.
Eye Shadows $5.25 to $5.95
The star of the show is truly the Fyrinnae eye shadows. Their colors are in no way, shape or form repackaged. They’re complex and layered shades. They need to be patted on, or used with Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, to be truly appreciated.
The Arcane Magic are a great example of complex color. They’re color changing shadows and really very beautiful. Faerie Glamour, Love Potion and Sorceress are my favorites from this category.

Love Potion is on in the inner lid in this look.

Faerie Glamour is on the outer 1/3 of the lid and Sorceress is in the crease for this look.

Jaguar was used as the base color for this look.
You can see more swatches here.
They have a variety of eye shadows that have great pigmentation, with a range of finishes from matte to super sparkly. I believe they have well over 200 eye shadows. They’ve got great color payoff. They also last all night if you use a primer.
Each jar contains 3 grams of products, and they are stuffed full of product, with no sifter.
Eye Shadow Ingredients: Mica. May contain: Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, Manganese Violet, Ultramarines, Chromium Oxide, Copper Powder, Bronze Powder, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Red #40, FD&C Yellow #5, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Silica, Styrene/PVP Copolymer, Myristyl Myristate. All ingredients are FDA-approved for eye-area use, and there is never any glitter used. You can always email them to ask for the specific ingredients of a particular shade if you have concerns. They even have a way to look at only the dye-free shades!
Summary
I think Fyrinnae is a great company for anyone looking for complex, shimmering eye shadows. The Pixie Epoxy is a holy grail product for me, because quite honestly, if you love the look of foiled, vibrant shadows, but hate the mess, this is what you want to use. Most sample jars are $1.75 and are quite generous in size. All orders over $20 ship free. They also include a few free samples with your order. They’ve got fantastic customer service and they always answer their emails in a timely fashion. All of their products are reasonably priced.
I wholeheartedly recommend Fyrinnae! Try them out! Let me know if you love Fyrinnae! I’ve been a happy customer for over a year now. I’ve been overwhelmingly pleased with the products that I’ve purchased.
Note: The vast majority of my Fyrinnae products I have purchased. Only very recently did I receive some samples of the newer eye shadow collections as PR items. This means that yes, I love to purchase Fyrinnae and I can recommend them wholeheartedly.

Hello Cotton
the best part about their samples is they actually put thought into what colors you might also like based on what you have bought. all the sample colors i get from them are things i actually will use.
i didn't like pixie epoxy when i first tried it. you really need to let it dry a bit or the shadows get gummy when you try to blend. but seriously, my shadows do not budge with this stuff. there's really nothing out there quite like this.
I'll have to try some of the Lip Lustres next time I order. I'm already in love with the eyeshadows and Pixie Epoxy.
You introduced me to Fyrinnae and to Pixie Epoxy and I am forever in you debt for that.
(and I may be going into debt in other ways by reading about all of the fun things on your blog.)
Great review. I love their shadows, and Pixie Epoxy. It's fantastic. I think that is one product no person should go without.
I would review fyrinnae, but honestly what is left to say? They are amazing. I love that they put thought into the samples as someone else said (freya was one of my free samples and it is my favorite of the three purples I got) and I also adored the cute little mushroom people and skully confetti sticker dealies too!
I love their shadows in fact I wore them today…They blend wonderfully and the colors are so complex. Great company!!!
I just placed an order with Fyrinnae – including the Pixie Epoxy, of course. I was really impressed with their prices so I bought three or four eyeshadows as well, and I haven't even finished filling in my wishlist yet. Can't wait until they arrive!
I'm extremely new to mineral makeup, and I got burned the very first time I ordered from an indie company (alleged repacker) so I made sure I did a lot of research the next time I got the courage to try again. Fyrinnae was the second company I ordered from after gaining my confidence back (first was Aromaleigh, which is great stuff too!) and I must say, I've never seen such beautiful eyeshadow before, in my WHOLE LIFE. The colours, the sparkle, so complex and dreamy and inspiring. Playing with Fyrinnae definitely lifts my spirits! I love that they read your mind… err, I mean coordinate with your order when giving you samples. So yeah, I've got a major Fyrinnae boner. I'm glad I'm hip to them so early in my makeup exploration.
PS I adore all your looks in this post!
Fyrinnae's in my top four favorites – I love almost everything I've tried from them (liquid inks maybe not so much). Worth noting – the velvet gel is good at oil control when I don't want to wear foundation. I love the eyeshadows I have from them, too.
Hi Spooki,
I totally agree about the samples they give you. They're nice! I like that they tend to give you colors that coordinate with the ones you're purchasing.
With the Pixie Epoxy, yeah, I tend to wait like 45 seconds or so and then it works perfectly
Hi Jaimi,
Definitely give them a chance, they're nice!
Hi Michelle,
I completely agree!
Hi CthuLynny,
Hehe, the stickers are always cute!
Hi Krista,
What colors did you wear today?
Hi Simone,
Yay! Glad you're getting the pixie epoxy!
Hi Genica,
Yay! I'm glad you're liking Aromaleigh and Fyrinnae. And thank you, glad you like the looks
Hi Emily,
Mine too! Fyrinnae is fantastic
YAY FYRINNAE!!!!
I have more things to get soon from them. More shadows and Lip Lustres, as well as a bamboo crease brush and possibly the gel primer too. Their colors are AWESOME….and pixie epoxy is a HG for me too. Now that I've figured it out anyway LOL…..
I have never ordered from them before, but now I am VERY intrigued by that Pixie Epoxy! I will probably get me a sample of that and some shadows.
Thanks for the info.
They are quite possibly one of my favorite companies, ever – though I have told you that before, I think. I enjoyed this review! It was wonderful that you included the foundation as a part of it – I have one of their foundations and it has been the best match for my skin, ever – I'm almost out now, and have attempted to replace it with some of the Meow products, I hope to find something I like.
The blushes are gorgeous – I have two, love them both! And the lip lustres, I agree with everything you said about those as well.
The next time I place another order I'll be getting the Pixie Epoxy. Of course, the shadows are stunning.
Love the looks you showcased here!
I ordered the Pixie Epoxy this evening! I didn't even see you had posted this until after I ordered, but I ordered it on your previous recommendations of the product! I'm really excited to try it!!
I definitely need to get around to placing a Fyrinnae order one day, I want to pick up a bunch of lip lustres and the pixie epoxy.
Question: what sort of consistency does the pixie epoxy have? Is it like a gel, does it feel tacky on the lids, etc?
Fyrinnae was the first non-major company I ever bought makeup from. I think I clicked over from here. I was just starting to expand my makeup repertoire from "nude tone on lid, darker brown in crease, dark brown eyeliner, mascara" and trying to incorporate color into my looks, and DAMN is Fyrinnae a great place to start with color! My (now) ex and I had a field day buying samples that first time, and in fact Fyrinnae still makes up most of my bright-colors collection. I wish their samples were a bit cheaper, but I like that they come in jars not baggies, so it makes up for the price difference.
About the Pixie Epoxy, though…if it's so super-adhesive for shadows, how the heck do you blend when you use it???
This post makes me super-excited about my first Fyrinnae order. Well, first two. Because about two minutes after I placed my first order, I felt compelled to buy more. Don't judge me.
Thanks for talking about their lipglosses. I always wondered!
Hi Thia,
Glad that you like them
Hi Lillypug,
You gotta try the Pixie Epoxy.
Hi Nicole,
Ditto!
Glad you liked the looks
Hi Kayla,
Yay, so glad to hear you're going to get it
Hi SilhouetteScreams,
You must! The pixie epoxy is amazing. It's like a gel and it will get tacky.
Hi WitchWords,
Yay I'm glad you love it!
I brush the color on, and then I blend like normal. If I need it, I go back and pat a bit more color on.
Hi Katherine,
Glad you placed it! What did you get?
Hi Dominique,
Yep, they're fantastic.
I just received my first fyrinnae order today and I have officially converted to mineral makeup! After reading your blog I finally placed orders with fyrinnae and aromaleigh and I'm sooooo happy I did. Mac's eyeshadows don't hold a candle to these sparkly beauties, never again will I spend $15+ on a generic department store shadow! Oh and the lip lustres are TO DIE FOR also
Hi Kitkat,
Yay! I'm so happy to hear you love the lip lustres! Finding a product to replace MAC lipglasses was such a joy for me.
O M G. As if I need ANOTHER mineral company to buy from. I've been reading some reviews on Fyrinnae and I am SO stoked to check them out. I adore your reviews and your looks. You inspire me! <3
