Now that I’ve had time to use these products, I wanted to review the Haus of Gloi.
Sugar Cremes
The scents I tried were:
Satyr – Absolutely fiendish creature! And quite frolicsome: Italian blood orange drizzled with blackened vanilla.
Honey Tree – Right from the bee hive honey, amplified by seductive essence of vanilla, darkened by a passing waft of woody smoke.
Elevenses – Tiny, little, fluffy orange cakes, sugar coated toasty almonds and a wee steaming cup of black tea.
Elevenses is a soft sweet orange scent to me.
Satyr is my favorite, and smells very much like dark orange and vanilla. Ray actually likes this scent on me and he’s not much for perfumes.
Honey Tree is really nice, because the woody smoke smell isn’t overpowering and is a nice mixture with the honey.
These sugar creme scrubs are nice. They’re a mixture of organic cane sugar, shea butter, coconut oil, apricot oil, almond oil and olive oils. They’re an exfoliant for your body, however I was daring and tried it on my face as well. While I don’t prefer it on my face, I love how it feels on my skin and I like the light scent that clings to it afterwards.

Bathing Dust
I’ve never really been a person to enjoy salt baths, but I wanted to try the bathing dust. I tend to prefer bubble baths or just soaking in super hot water. So I was pleasantly surprised when I really enjoyed the bathing dust.
I tried the Satyr scent for this.
It’s made of sea salt, epsom salt, dead sea salt, shea butter, and vitamin E. While I definitely felt more relaxed and had the faint scent of Satyr on my skin after the bath, I didn’t notice that my skin seemed overly moisturized from it. I did definitely feel more relaxed.

Perfume
I convo’d Haus of Gloi to see if Satyr could be made into a perfume, and was very happy that the answer was yes. It’s a really nice scent, and once applied to the wrists, you can happily smell Satyr. It’s definitely a highly concentrated scent that lasted on me for several hours, which I like.
Because I like it so much, I’m debating picking up Honey Tree in perfume as well.
Cold Pressed Soap
I received samples of their cold pressed soap in Lavender and Glogg. While I absolutely hate lavender scent and wouldn’t even try it to discern how the soap felt, I did try Glogg.
I don’t care for the Glogg scent, but the soap does work nicely. I used it on my hands. It’s got olive oil and coconut oil and cream in it. It really works beautifully. I’m tempted to try the Honey Tree Soap, but since I prefer shower cremes to bar soaps, I just don’t think I’d end up using it much.
Overall, I would buy from Haus of Gloi again. I like their products.
The Satyr scent and Honey Tree scent are my favorite.
I really like the sugar scrubs and perfume.
I’m not sure if I’d buy the bathing dust again, because I do prefer bubble baths.
The cold pressed soaps are nice if you like soap like that, but I don’t think I would purchase them.
The products are all vegan, which is cool. The packaging is adorable and sturdy. The labels are cute.
A lot of thought went into making them, which i really like.
So have you tried Haus of Gloi? Do you like them?

Hello Cotton
I did try them after Grey's review and I love them. I purchased Troika perfume and Elevenses scrub and a sample of Lavender Sugar soap. Their shipping is fast and they even took the care of refunding an extra $1 that I overpaid for shipping back to my Paypal account promptly (I hadn't even noticed that I overpaid.)
I happen to love lavender, so I tried the soap. It was nice and moisturizing, but I don't tend to use bar soaps because of how gluey they get on the soapdish and in the shower— and this bar was no exception. It got too soft to work with after a bit. I probably won't order the soap.
But the scrub and perfume— I love! The scrub works great and smells wonderful without being overpowering. And it is the first that I have used that stays blendedin the jar and emulsifies once it hits the water. Not oily or greasy… and my skin is soft and lightly scented after the shower. The perfume scent lasts all day, and I like the small bottle so I can easily apply the right amount for me.
I would definitely order from them again…
I haven't yet. But I would love to try the scrub and perfume someday. I have favorited the store for now. Satyr sounds like lovely scent.
Those sound really lovely. I love the packaging style as well.
I haven't tried them out. The packaging looks really nice and I love scrubs…
I really want to try these, the scents sound really cool and unique and i love the packaging. Maybe when i run out of my million-plus tubs of exfoliator i'll make an order
Hi Melissa,
That's so sweet of them to have refunded you!
I feel exactly like you about the scrub and perfume
Hi michelle,
Satyr is definitely a fantastic one to me.
Hi Pixie,
Yeah they really came up with some cute packaging.
Hi Krista,
Let me know if you try it and like it.
Hi Lillian,
I think they definitely are unique! What scents sound interesting to you?
I too saw Grey's review and picked up 3 scrub samples to try in Absinthe, Honey Tree & Satyr. I love the way the soap feels, but I too prefer a cream to use with a poof. I wonder if you could make a vegan version of that??? I love Honey Tree.. and I actually really liked Absinthe too.. and I really don't like the smell of anise. This one left a slight scent of sort of a minty lemon.. really clean smell. It was nice! I'm glad to hear your review on it too..
Hi Kerry,
Glad you liked it! I was wondering if they'd consider making Satyr and Honey Tree into a cream body wash, too.
I saw haus of gloi when I was searching for scrubs on etsy but I was too afraid to try. It's great to see your and Grey's reviews about them.I love the packaging and scents sound so unique.I really want to try some of them. It's hard to decide:) I think I will buy imp scrub full size beside absinthe, madcap garden, elevenses samples, imp sounds delicious!!Is satyr a fruity or spicy scent?
Hi bohemian,
Seems more dark and fruity than spicy to me. But it's not overly sweet/fruity.
I am going to bookmark that now, for when I have some spare cash again! I love love love independent bath product companies, so I will definitely be giving them a try
Thanks for the recommendation! Satyr sounds truly yum.
I'm not into spicy bath products so satyr should be another good choice for me.thanks Phyrra:)
Ah, I love Haus of Gloi. I need to place a fullsize order with them soon, since I love my sample scrubs so much. I actually tend to use mine almost exclusively on my face, though, since that's probably the part of my body that can most benefit by teh exfoliating.
Hi Nicole,
Me too, especially when they're vegan. I'm starting to lean more and more towards vegan products.
Hi Bohemian,
Woot! I do hope you like it.
Hi Lindsey,
I was a bit nervous about using them on my face, but it worked ok for me. I love them on my body.
I'm not into bath or shower products, but the labels and names for their products are positively adorable
Hi Silhouette,
Yeah they look really well thought out.
Another Etsy Artisan I've been wating to try…their scent descriptions captivate me…and I love the idea of their sugar cremes, I"ve found the Canadian climate to be so dry and harsh….I need super pampering in the shower. Thank you for the review…I am adding them to my order along with Gudonya!
Hi Jenna,
Their scents are really nice and their sugar cremes are great. Cold climates are really bad for that, so definitely try a sugar creme. I think the shea in it will help. Glad you like the review
I tried these after reading yours and Grey's reviews and I wasn't disappointed! The products have great packaging – I love that they're individually sealed – and unique, unisex fragrances. I really enjoyed these and I'm glad I ordered lots of samples so that I could try out a variety of scents. My legs feel totally amazing after shaving using the sugar cremes, so I'll definitely be ordering these again.
Hi Maryn,
Yay! I'm glad you liked them! I'll have to try the sugar cremes with shaving my legs
