Silk Naturals Lunar Poly Look

I wanted to wear Silk Naturals Poly, because I was craving a blue today. So I grabbed Lunar, a vegan shade that I’ve not used before. I also applied colors a bit differently than normal, since I wanted to try out a new technique.

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy – in crease
Silk Naturals Poly – applied on lid with Medusa shadow brush
Silk Naturals Lunar – applied in crease with ecoTools angled crease brush
Silk Naturals Nekkid – applied to inner corners of eye with chisel detail brush, then applied to blend out the edges of Lunar in the upper crease with the angled crease brush
Silk Naturals Rebel – applied with ecoTools highlighting brush to outer vee, then used ecoTools blending brush to blend crease colors together
Silk Naturals Hint – applied with ecoTools highlighting brush right under eyebrows
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Flipside – lower lash line
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Electric – outer lower water line
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Yeyo – inner lower water line
Gel Eyeliner in Black Out – upper lash line
Aromaleigh Lash Primer
MAC Pro Lash Mascara in Coal Black
Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara in Black

You can see the ecoTools brushes mentioned here. You can see the Medusa’s Makeup shadow brush here.
You can see the chisel detail brush here.

Cheeks:
Silk Naturals blush in Gemini
Silk Naturals highlighter in Crinoline
Meow Skinny Dippers in Mediuim Sphynx – to contour

Face:
Meow Pampered Puss foundation in Inquisitive Siamese

Lips:
Aromaleigh Minty Coco Chip lipbalm
Silk Naturals Lipstick in XXX

Shade Descriptions:
Poly – MAC Parrot clone, medium/deep blue shimmer
Nekkid – MAC Naked Lunch clone, shimmery pink
Lunar – Nars Habanera clone, velvety aqua (vegan)
Rebel – Bare Escentuals Rock Star clone, sheer black glittery shadow
Hint – MAC Seedy Pearl clone, light pink/lavender shimmer
XXX – ultra nude matte
Gemini – MAC Grand Duo clone, plummy red with some warm coppery shimmer, a medium cool red.
Crinoline – MAC Pettiecoat clone, peachy red glow

I labeled where I used the color, since I saw my friend  Robyn do that and I figured it might help a bit with this look.

What do you think of the look? How do you like Silk Naturals? What do you think of the lovely color clones?

Also, I picked up these adorable custom star hair clips from Etsy from a seller named High Strung!

I can’t wait to wear them.

That is a great look. I especially love how the crease came out.

Very nice look! Those blue shadows look gorgeous with your eyes.:)

      Hi Pixie,
      Thanks!
      Did the labeling help?

      Hi Nea,
Thank you :) That's high praise considering I was trying something new.

      Hi Laura,
      Aww thanks!

:D Those colors are so nice! I think I need every single one too. LOL

The labelling did help, yes! I have naked lunch, but I've never tried it in my crease. I think I will :)

      Hi Nea,
Aww yay! Let me know what you think of them :)

      Hi Pixie,
Woot! It's also on the inner corners of my eye, but I decided to see what it would look like blending up on the browbone and at the edge of the smoky color, and liked the effect.

Wow you look fantastic :) and thanks for labelling the colours

I don't know why but I've been in a bit of an inspiration slump when it comes to e/s lately, but you've inspired me to get myself out of that slump and start being more creative again with my combos.

Oh and XXX is going straight into my basket. I wasn't sure if I could pull the colour off, but seeing it on you, I love it.

SN clones are great, I remember ages ago I asked Karen to clone Boujois Brun Poetic nude lip gloss and within a month I had modern poet on my door step – cool or what!!

And the clips are too cute!!!! :) Note to self check out esty more often

      Hi Ghost,
      Thank you so much!
      Glad the labelling helps :)

I tried XXX because I don't own any other color like that and I liked the swatch. Turns out I REALLY like how it looks on me.

Glad you like the clips, too!

Great look Phyrra!!!! I love the eyes and the XXX is divine! :D

That's a really awesome look! I love how you labeled it. Good job! :)

Very pretty! Thank your for the inspiration – I think I'm going to have to wear blues tomorrow. I don't have these pretty SN colors, but AL's Aqua Nightmare would be a good substitute. I too have been looking at XXX but wasn't sure it would work with my skintone. I'll have to give it a try now. :)

I like your hair, it looks all secretaryie, and it matches your cheeks. The look overall is all bright and happy and stuff, good job!

oh yeah, and btw I just sent you a vid via email, bein' a gamer and all I figure you'll laugh as hard as I did, its so true lol.

      Yay I love Silk Naturals!

The labelling is super helpful :)

I really like this look. You should wear nude lipstick more often. :-)

      Hi Thia,
      Thank you :)
XXX was a risk for me to buy, but I'm glad I did. I really do like it. And if my lips weren't swollen, you'd see how big it makes them look :P

      Hi Lillypug,
      Thank you!
I'm glad the labels help! I may try to do that more often.

      Hi Nkaneko,
      You're welcome :)
AL's Aqua Nightmare is Fantastic! I wore it the other day actually! If XXX doesn't work on its own, you can use it to 'blank out' your lips to apply another, softer color.

      Hi Daniel,
Lol. I actually need to touch up the pink in the front. The video you sent was pretty amusing, thank you for sharing it!

      Hi silhouetteScreams,
      They're fantastic :)

      Hi Blix,
      Awww thank you!
Do you like this specific shade, or do you like the nude pinks, too?

I love the rosy cheeks on you, it is very vibrant but not over the top. Silk Naturals XXX lippie is gorgeous as well and Minty Coco Chip Balm sounds divine!

I can seriously not express how much I want Poly, and I don't know why I haven't bought it yet. It's such a great teal, though, and i love this look on you. <3

      Hi Bellakoola,
Thank you, you gotta try the lip balm, it's like heaven for your lips.

      Hi Lindsey,
Let me know what you think of it! I really love it.

    • http://www.blogger.com/profile/17073037723228196185 Saila

I like the mirror-like shine of those colours! A great look for you, I love how you kept your lips nude, it really brings the focus to your gorgeous eyes!

Eep, I think I need those hairpins! Mine now!

    • http://www.blogger.com/profile/02168093054712781267 Phyrra

      Hi Saila,
Thank you! I thought if I went too bold on the lips it would compete with my eyes.
