I’ve been using the Body Shop’s Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15 for quite a while now and I really like it. My skin is sensitive and slightly oily these days, so if I don’t wear a foundation, I tend to get some shine. However, I’ve now worn this a few times on its own and it’s kept me nice and matte.
It’s got bladderwack seaweed in it, which is wild harvested. It’s known for its hydrating, non-oily properties, which make it great for normal or oily skin.
My biggest complaint about it is the fact that it’s only SPF 15. I hate that! I wish it was SPF 30. I’m finding that I really prefer to wear at least SPF 30 these days.
It typically retails for $18 USD, which is pretty reasonable. And whenever the Body Shop has their buy 2 get 1 free on their skincare products, it’s always good to stock up. That’s typically what I do.
Overall, this is another Body Shop skincare product that I really love. I would definitely recommend this if you have sensitive, slightly oily skin like I do.
What do you think of it? Have you tried it?

Hello Cotton
I really like the night treatment in this range (recently reviewed actually). I also have the day cream but it's in a tub so it's not my favorite. I think I might pick this up next when I finish the tub!
I haven't tried it but will probably not be able to….I'm allergic to some seaweeds. Sigh….it'd be perfect for me too.,,……
I like the night treatment too! I need to check and see if I reviewed it recently, because I can't remember if I did or not, but I definitely like it. Glad to hear you like it!
Aww, you could get a sample to try.
I grabbed a bunch of these at their xmas, “buy any 3 things for $15″ sale so I snagged 3 but they aren't going so smoothly for me. My face seems to be oilier than before and it doesn't make my skin matte
I was using Olay somethingorother with spf in it before. My face may just be trying to adjust to it. I hope so! I have 2 more tubes to go through!
I may just do that. I'm finding some products with algae or seaweed I can do. Can't hurt to try, right?
Did you grab their clarifying night treatment? I grabbed that one too and it works for me but I think I just have slightly oily/combination skin. I'm only oily in a few places.
