Natural Fuchsia Look

So today I gave the Stars Makeup Haven colors a try. I found them extremely easy to use and nicely pigmented, which surprised me, since they’re pressed eye shadows. In the past I’ve found that I get better color payoff with loose mineral makeup. However, the Stars Makeup Haven shadows I tried are really nicely pigmented. They also applied and blended very easily. I was anticipating some trouble since they’ve got an almost matte texture, but they were easy to work with. I think Creme d’Nude is my perfect my skin but better lid shade. Ciao Bella! worked surprisingly well for a crease color. I love Euphoria along the lower lash line, but I think any color would work well along the lower lash line. In fact, I’ll probably try this look again using an Aqua or Teal color, since Aqua/Teal/Turquoise is like the IT color for spring, and it’s one of my favorites.

I chose to use the Purple Rain lip liner instead of Hot Pink or Fuchsia because it enhances the blue reflect of the lipstick. Seriously if you love pink you NEED Azalea Blue. It’s so gorgeous.

I really love how this look turned out. I love the bold lips with the relatively neutral eye and the pop of color along the lower lash line. I think anyone can wear a bold color along the lower lash line. However, with pinks on me, I have to not bring the pink in all the way, or I look ill.

What do you think?

I have to say this is one of my fave more nautral looks by you! The pop of fuchsia on the lower lashline keeps this interesting and your lips look gorgeous as ever!

    • Jaimi

Ooh, so pretty! I got a whole ton of Rocks! shadows today, so I may have to do a neutral-with-bold eye when I finally settle on what color to crack open first. I do like the pink…it brings out the green in your eyes.

    • Krista

Very pretty!!! They have the individual pressed shadows like that too over at coastal scents…they are called hot pots and they are 4.49. Have you ever tried theirs?

    • Phyrra

Thank you! I really love the shadows I used. I really was impressed at how creamy and pigmented they were. And of course, Azalea Blue is fantastic!

    • Phyrra

      Aww thanks!

    • Phyrra

I haven't tried the ones from Coastal Scents. Glad you like :)

    • Stiletto

Absolutly stunning! as usual. That lip color is to die for! oh, and i SO wish i could do winged liner that well!

    • Cacau

You look wonderful! This look brightens up your face!

    • fashionedfinn

      Oh, Azalea looks GORGEOUS!

    • Kambria

The Azalea blue does look gorgeous! I cannot wait until my sample gets here and then I can choose if I want to buy it or not. Speaking of lip products, since aromaleigh's are getting discontinued… who else would you suggest? I've ordered from Morgana and am waiting on that but I am looking for more lipsticks… Ive tried evil shades… I'm just so lost and I cannot find any great reviews for lip products to try out! Help me phyrra! Thanks K

    • RaeRae

I really like how the eyes and lips tie in together! And fuschia looks very pretty on you. I did a look similar to this the other day, I wish I'd photoed it. I had a shimmery nude pink on the lid, Meow Wild Child OMG in the crease, and Urban Decay's Flipside liner on the lower lashline with a baby blue shadow blended into it to make it brighter. I think it'd look good on you! Only you could use a brighter UD liner because you have one lol :)

    • Phyrra

Yay glad you like it! You gotta try Morgana's lipsticks, they're fantastic. I'm STILL wearing Azalea blue and it's lasted through breakfast and lunch and several drinks. To do winged liner, it's really all about the brush you use and practice. I really recommend the Sonia Kashuk Bent Eyeliner brush, but the Medusa fine liner brush is great too.

    • Phyrra

Yay thank you! Dave says fuchsia is my color and that it really works well with my skintone :)

    • Phyrra

Ok, so my favorites are: Morgana Minerals Lipsticks Silk Naturals Lipsticks I do like some of the Evil Shades glosses but I haven't tried their lipsticks, but they do look really nice. Nymphette has them swatched here: http://nymphette.onsugar.com/Evil-Shades-Deviant-… I'm interested in trying Bane, Diabolical, Fiendish and devilista. I've got one of the new Stardust Color lipsticks coming to me, so I'll be able to tell you how they are, too.

    • Phyrra

Yay thank you :) And the nude pink + OMG sounds really cute!

    • Phyrra

Ack I can't believe I forgot Fyrinnae Lip Lustres! Those are FANTASTIC too! Lollipop-pop, Trickster, Puppy Love, Devil Horns, Shangri La, Visual Kei.

    • Thia Winter

I love this look! It's beautifully blended…..and love the pop! I was actually thinking of a neutral eye tomorrow with a pop of liner myself…..you must've read my mind…

    • KittenMittens

It worked out pretty nice! You picked out perfect colours :)

    • Makeup Zombie

Very pretty. The wings are really cool. I love scrolling down to the full face pics though, because you're so gorgeous.

    • Nina

i love this Phyrra! ARRGGGHHHH I don't wanna buy any more stuff but I think I might have to try out Star's :)

    • nkaneko

I really like this look! I think I am going to have to try a neutral lid with maybe blue or teal on the bottom tomorrow. And I have to agree with Dave, fuchsia is gorgeous on you.

    • Triner

This is a subtle WOW look. Love the pop of color with the lower liner. And the idea with the teal or blue instead of the purple would be awesome! I'm totally going to try a variation on this look because it's very awesome.

    • Silhouettex

Euphoria looks so cute paired with the neutral eye :3

    • gio

      Very pretty, as always!

    • Tally7

Looks perfect! Funny how the three colors you picked work so well together. This is almost a neutral look on you! In fact, I think you should make this one of your “go-to” neutral looks. Love the varying fuschias.

    • bella koola

I agree this is one of my favourite looks of the many you have featured. The neutral eyelid with just a flash of colour on the lower lash line and the bright lip is perfectly pretty.

    • Phyrra

What colors did you use :)

    • Phyrra

      Thanks!

    • Phyrra

      Aww thanks!

    • Phyrra

It seems like they have some great colors!

    • Phyrra

I wore a neutral lid with Aqua on Saturday, definitely lovely!

    • Phyrra

      Yay!

    • Phyrra

Thank You! I was hoping it would look good, especially since I was echoing it with fuchsia on the lips and cheek.

    • Phyrra

      Thanks!

    • Phyrra

      Aww thanks!

    • Tally7

Absolutely love this foundation combo on you. Your skin really glows.

    • Phyrra

Thank you! Since I got a bit lighter this winter (annoying, to be honest!!!), my foundation hasn't looked quite right until I started mixing in Snow Lynx to lighten me.
