A while ago I was sent the Exuviance Brighten Up Kit. I was nervous about using the products because of the AHA. However, I was also hopeful because they’re supposed to lighten discolorations, such as freckles. The kit contains a Brightening Eye Cream, a Purifying cleansing gel and an intense lightening complex
While I haven’t seen my hyperpigmentation on my chin dramatically lighen with the Intense Lightening complex, I’m going to continue using it until it’s gone and I’ll be sure to show my results. I think the hyperpigmentation on my skin is slightly lighter, but it could also just be wishful thinking. I’ve got pictures of my naked face from before using it and I need to compare them to now. This is $45 for 1 oz, and a little will go a long way, even though you’re supposed to use it twice a day.
The Brightening Eye Cream is really nice. I don’t feel like I have a lot of dark circles and wrinkles, but I do feel like it makes my eyelids super smooth and moisturized. I don’t often like eye cream, particularly since I’ve had allergic reactions to some. I tend to prefer to use my moisturizer with SPF carefully around my eye area. This eye cream, however, absorbs well, hasn’t given me any sort of reaction, and I do like it. It’s easily the best eye cream that I’ve ever tried. However, it’s $50 for .5 oz, which KILLS me. Ack.
My favorite product of the bunch is the Purifying Cleansing Gel. The cleanser is $28 for a 7.2 oz bottle. It has a very light, fresh scent, which doesn’t linger. Despite its AHA, it’s very gentle on my sensitive skin. It’s soap free, and I feel like it’s amazing at cleansing my skin. Ive used it with my Clarisonic and been pleased with the results as well. I’ve used this at morning and at night. I do feel like it deep cleans my skin without drying me out. It doesn’t irritate my skin. Also, I love the fact that if I use it at night, I don’t wake up feeling all greasy in the morning.
Of the three of these, I will buy the Exuviance Purifying Cleansing Gel when my bottle runs out. It may just be my Holy Grail Cleanser, because I love what it does with my skin. I’ll definitely be on the look out for sales on Exuviance products. I think the three I tried are good, and I highly recommend the Purifying Cleansing Gel.

Hello Cotton
Thanks for the review. I’m working on some dark spots on my face. Not terribly dark, I just wish I would have started working on getting rid of them earlier. :/
Yeah, mine are just annoying. The one that bugs me the most is from a bad zit I had 2 summers ago.
AHAs are one of my favorite ingredients! I have had a lot of my uneven-ness fade, and my skin is just generally smoother (pores more even, fine lines faded a bit etc.) I honestly use a handful of things to work on the even coloration issue, but I know the AHAs have helped! (I use a vitamin C serum, a bunch of things with various antioxidants, and a serum with niacinamide among other things that all seem to help with evening pigmentation and improving all over skin health.)
I love vitamin C, too!
I really like the DDF Fade Gel. It’s $45-$55, but I don’t remember the size of it. It’s small though.
This one is bigger than an eye creme, smaller than moisturizer with SPF.
