Saturday brought me some fantastic mail and some interesting new things. First up, I received a pair of custom threaders that I’d purchased from WhimsyBeading. The earrings are gorgeous. They’re a purple velvet and have some teal ab reflects. They’re a lovely deep blue-purple. The color is intense and I love it. Kelly from Whimsy has 2 sets of threaders up right now. You should go snatch them up before I do! Seriously, they’re so gorgeous!

Next up, I received a fauxnad bundle from Amazon.com. I ordered this soley because it had a poodle fauxnad.
However, there are 2 other plates that I really like. One is a halloween plate that has bats! I’ve tried to free hand bats! The other has a cute peacock.

Then, I received some products from a PR rep for Cliche Cosmetics.
Cliche’s motto on their website is cute. They state that a cliche is:
1. something popular or familiar
2. something that works

They have a wysiwyg approach to cosmetics. Their pans are magnetized and their palettes as well. It’s nice because nothing slides around. You can choose from eye shadows, brow definer, blush, mineral foundation, lipsticks and balms. They sent me:

Pink – matte bright pink
Rage – midtone light brown with lightly frosted finish
Witchcraft – deep black with light sparkles
Pink Poodle – matte nude pink
Freestyle Palette

These are swatched on the back of my skin with no primer. They’re fairly pigmented.
They state that their products are made in the USA and used by stars and models, specifically the So You Think You Can Dance people, but at reasonable prices.
Prices are as follows:
$6.50 for brow definer
$6.50 eye shadow
$7 blush/bronzer/highlighter
$7 lipstick/lipbalm
$16 mineral foundation
The foundation and lipsticks have a very limited palette, but the blush and eye shadow ranges are nice. You can expect me to do a look with them soon. My initial impression is very positive.
I also ran some errands today. First I took Phaedra to get her DOCP shot and get some medication for her ears, as she has an ear infection. Then we went to Target and Walgreens. I randomly picked up:

Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Nail polish in:
Instant Iris & Grape Going
Neutrogena Oil-free Eye Makeup Remover
Secret sheer solid sheer mineral Green euphoria
Wet n’ Wild Lust Palette
The lovely ladies on the iPhyrra Forums recommended the Neutrogena makeup remover. I think I tried it a long time ago, but can’t remember for sure, so I decided to try it again since my Nyx Eye & Lip makeup remover is almost all gone. I love the Nyx but I hate having to buy it online. The Neutrogena is the same price and doesn’t cost me shipping.
Have you tried Neutrogena’s makeup remover? What did you think of it?

Hello Cotton
Those earrings are gorgeous!!! The color is so beautiful. I read your last post first so I thought I missed a haul you did or something lol
Aww no worries! And I <3 the earrings!
Nice haul. I can’t wait to see what you come up with when you use your new plates.
Have fun,
Susie
Thanks! I’m probably going to play with the poodle first, of course :>
Those earrings really are gorgeous!
Thank you! WhimsyBeading makes really awesome earrings. You can convo her for custom colors!
That Wet n’ Wild palette rocks! No joke, it is extremely amazing.
It looked really good! I saw it swatched a while ago at Jacqueline’s blog (A Brilliant Brunette – LOVE her blog!), and decided I could give it a try.
That Neutrogena makeup remover was my favorite remover before I started using cleansing oil! It got EVERYTHING off fairly quickly and with minimal tugging. It was especially good on waterproof mascara. The only thing I didn’t like about it was that I couldn’t use it for touch-ups, since there is an oily residue–not that bad and perfectly fine for nighttime purposes when I want everything to come off anyway, but it’d wreak hell on my makeup in conjunction with my already oily skin if I let it just sit there throughout the day. I started using (and still do use) Rimmel’s makeup remover for touchups instead; it’s seriously like water and doesn’t leave any residue behind, but it doesn’t work as well as Neutrogena when I want everything to come off fast. Hope you like the Neutrogena! Looking forward to your Cliche review.
I keep meaning to try oil cleansing, but then putting it off. I think it’s because I don’t like the steaming process on my face.
The Neutrogena makeup remover is my HG remover. Nothing has worked quite as well for me, and with my oily skin, cleansing oil was a disaster.
I’m thrilled to bits that you love your earrings. Yay!
I’ll be trying it soon :>
Yay! You know I always love your stuff!
Cute earrings! Whimsy Beading isn’t really my style, but I enjoy seeing you and Grey post pieces from her.
How do you like the makeup remover?
Glad you enjoy seeing them :>
I haven’t tried it yet, finishing the last of my beloved Nyx remover.
