Complementary Colors: Red Violet & Yellow Green

I wanted to try a complementary colors look today with Red Violet and Yellow Green. So I used Princess of Darkness for the Red Violet base, but realized I needed to add a bit of a sheen to it, so then I reached for Fishnet and finally Stars & Rockets.

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
MAC Vellum – inner v and later on top of Blanc Type under eyebrows
MAC Silly Goose – middle lid and middle of crease
Fyrinnae Princess of Darkness – outer lid, crease, outer lower lash line
Urban Decay Fishnet – on top of Princess of Darkness on outer lid, crease, outer lower lash line
MAC Stars & Rockets – upper crease
MAC Blanc Type – on browbone
Cover Girl Liner in Green Glow – lower lash line
MAC Sweet & Punchy – on top of Green Glow
Black Out Gel Liner – upper lash line
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero – lower waterline
Urban Decay Brow Wax Pencil
MAC Plum Dressing – to define brows
L’Oreal Lash Primer

        Thank you! I’m really happy that I found an eye shadow that matches my hair so I can fill in my eyebrows and have them look ‘natural.’

        The color chart I used specified Red Violet is complemented by Yellow Green, so I had to figure out what color I had that was closest to Red Violet. When I realized that Princess of Darkness was, I was excited because I think it’s such a fantastic, under rated color!

        I’m trying to decide what complementary colors to try next.
