Partylicious Pink

Today I’m doing something Super Seekrit for work again. I tried to stick to a bright, mostly monochromatic eye. I used Pixie Epoxy to make sure that Partylicious was quite vibrant. Too Faced In the Buff is quickly becoming a favorite of mine for improved blendng! If I use it from my crease to my eyebrows as a base, and then put anything else on top of it, it blends out the color better. I like this. I haven’t found any other shadow quite like it in my mineral shadows or my other pressed shadows. I’ve tried using other shadows the way that I’m using it, and none meld as well with my skin. Without further ado, here’s my look.

And totally random, here’s an adorable but goofy pic of me with Phaedra from last night.

Shade Descriptions:
I’m Guilty – aqua blue
Partylicious – turquoise with silver pearl
Crystal Avalanche – white with reflects (veluxepearl)
Vellum – pale white duochrome with violet-blue opalescent shimmer (frost)

If it’s Pink – hot pink
Full Fuchsia – a very bright iridescent fuchsia

Unfortunately my ‘I’m Guilty’ Too Faced Lockdown Shadow seems a bit weird. I haven’t used it in a while and it’s like the color got separated from an oily substance. I tried shaking it and squeezing the tube and that seemed to help it a bit but it came out somewhat weird, which was disappointing.

Step By Step
1. Apply Too Faced Shadow Insurance all over eye are and under eyes.
2. Apply I’m Guilty to outer 3/4 of lid and to outer 3/4 of crease with finger.
3. Apply Pixie Epoxy to outer 3/4 of lid and outer 3/4 of crease with finger.
4. Apply Partylicious to outer 3/4 of lid and outer 3/4 of crease with MAC 213 brush.
5. Apply In the Buff from eyebrows dowward, blending towards and on top of Partylicious with ecoTools highlighter brush.
6. Apply Crystal Avalanche to inner 1/4 of lid blending upwards to inner 1/4 of crease, using Urban Decay Sustainable Shadow Box eye shadow brush.
7. Blend edge of Crystal Avalanche & Partylicious with the Urban Decay brush.
8. Using the same Urban Decay brush, apply Vellum to inner 1/4 of lid, blending upward and outwards. Also apply to right under eyebrows and inner lower lash line.
9. Apply Queen of Disaster to outer v area and blend inward in crease and just at the outer corner of the lower lash line with an ecoTools smudge brush.
10. Apply Partylicious to middle lower lash line with an ecoTools smudge brush.
11. Apply Black Out to upper lash line with Medusa’s pointed eyeliner brush.
12. Blend crease and browbone lightly with MAC 224 brush.
13. Apply Lash Primer.
14. Apply Mascara.
15. Apply Yeyo to lower water line.
16. Apply Flipside to edge of outer lower water line and lash line.
17. Groom brows into place and apply Dark Brown pencil to brows to define.

I’m telling you, it’s that ‘In the Buff’ shade making it easier to blend the browbone/crease. Thank you! :)

    • thebirdofparadise

I feel like my comments are getting repetitive, but I must say, “Awesome blending!” You have a gift, my friend. :)

      • Phyrra

Thank you! It’s nice to know that my blending is getting better. Well, that and In The Buff is making it so much easier!

Aww man, I NEED Partylicious now, but I know there has to be a dupe…..this is too gorgeous.

      • Phyrra

I will be checking my collection this weekend for a dupe. I’ve just not been doing much blog wise while I have company in town and I’m on mini-vacation. As soon as I can tell you what’s closest, I will :)

    • Aleksandra

Wow, the blending is so gorgeous and smooth, it looks like a gradient right out of photoshop! It looks great on you.

And hey, you match Zorbak. That’s a nostalgia trip, I haven’t checked in on AQ for a while~

      • Phyrra

        Yay thank you!
Zorbak is one of my favs, even if he’s not my character.

Gorgeous! And the blending is great too.

      • Phyrra

        Why thank you :)

    • Jessie

Pretty eye! I had to do a double take though because when I first read the title of the post, I read PANTYlicious and got confused… *hugs*

      • Phyrra

Haha! Ok that was too cute!

    • Alyson!

i love phaedra! what a cutie pie!

      • Phyrra

Thank you :) She certainly knows she’s cute.

Pretty! Love love love the lip combo. Must get on to Cherry Culture at some point to get some NYX. If you like In The Buff, you should check out Cream (I’ve hit the pan on the smokey eyes palette and now I’m almost out!)

      • Phyrra

        Is cream by Nyx?
Yeah I can’t believe how perfect In the Buff is for my browbone and blending.

    • Rebecca

What a bright blue! You wear it well. I think that can be a hard color to pull off sometimes

Seeing as you are such a fan of too faced products (I adore their TFSI as well), have you tried their lip insurance? I have had difficulty finding a decent lip primer and was wondering if it measured up to the shadow insurance? I drink alot of water and coffee throught out the day so it would be nice to have color stay on my lips.

      • Phyrra

I haven’t had the opportunity to try it yet. I have the Aromaleigh Eye & Lip primer and the Urban Decay Lip Primer Potion. I like the UDLPP.
I’ll try to get ahold of it to try soon.

        • Rebecca

Thanks! I look forward to reading about it. I will check out the UDLPP. I know their shadow primer was good, the container was just badly designed.

          • Phyrra

I know! Their UDPP container is such a laughing stock with its poor design.
The lip primer is in a lipstick container, so much better.

    • http://www.thedarkbutterfly.com/blog Nini

The eyes are soo pretty, makes me think of mermaids.
Plus the pic of you and Phaedra = far too adorable!!!

      • Phyrra

Teal is just such a fun color.
Aww, glad you find us adorable when we’re just chillin’.

    • http://www.parched.etsy.com Parched

Thanks for the blending tip. I always put my highlight on last, and it never would’ve occurred to me to put it on first for blending. I bet it keeps the color from being mattified or toned down too much.

      Beautiful genius!

      • Phyrra

I keep trying to put it on like this:
        1. Eye Shadow Primer
        2. The blending shade from crease to eyebrows
        3. the rest of the colors.

It seems like, to me, having that base from crease to eyebrows just makes blending a million times easier. I also still put a separate highlighter color right under my eyebrows, too.

        Glad you like it :)

Wow so beautiful and vibrant. I am really loving this colour on you. :)

Thanks! It’s quite the vivid Aqua.
