You might not have made the look you wanted however, this is very pretty. The color combos are cool.

      • Phyrra

Aww thanks! I just felt like I messed it up and wasn’t sure what to do to fix it.

    • Melissa

I’m with Kim I think the only “fail” is that the top just isn’t blended as good as you normally do but I love the colors you chose and the bottom looks REALLY stinkin’ pretty! I like it, I think you re-name this post to, I thought it was a fail until my readers proved me wrong! Lol

      • Phyrra

Thanks! I felt like the bottom looked ok, but the outer V area was off,and yeah the top didn’t look right, and it looked worse after I added the color in the lower crease. And I renamed it, at your request :)

I actually like it!! :) btw you have such pretty eyes!

    • Runaround Sous

I think it’s cool, too. It’s just a different way of blending colors that what you do.

I, for one, am glad you are posting this. The color choices are excellent together.

      • Phyrra

        Thank you!

Pshaw, this is no fail, it’s what my “rainbow eyes” always look like >_> I don’t even both to blend sometimes.

      • Phyrra

I was actually wondering if maybe I used the In the Buff as a base all over the eye area, if it would have blended easier? I haven’t done a rainbow eye in a while.

This looks shit-tons better than anything I can do on even my best days, so it’s still a win in my book. ;)

      • Phyrra

        aww thanks!

    • Invicta

Well I like it, especially the subtle way you used Emerenta to darken the crease without interrupting the pattern on your eyelid. On a seperate note, I was browsing the cosmetics section of my local Walgreens and found that they had bottles Sally Hansen’s Hidden Treasure nail polish in stock. Imagine my surprise hehehe

      • Phyrra

Oops! I actually used Aromaleigh Frankincense to darken the loewr crease a bit.

YAY for you finding Hidden treasure!

        • Invicta

Ah! sorry, I saw the crease looked dark purple and knowing that Emerenta is dark purple but not knowing what color Frankincense is, I saw Emerenta on the list of products and didn’t give it another thought. :>

    • Susan

I think it looks kind of neat and I love the lip color(s) I think I need that Miliani lip gloss : )

      • Phyrra

        Yeah it’s cute!

    • Melissa

Just checked my e-mail and noticed you changed the name of the post! LOL that’s awesome!

      • Phyrra

Hehe, glad ya like the change.

    • Melissa

If I’m using pixie epoxy I always have to use a neutral base to get my stuff to blend when I do multiple colors, I love the heck out of that stuff, but it makes it difficult sometimes for real seamless blending

      • Phyrra

What neutral base do you tend to use?

    • http://beautifulwithbrains.com gio

I like it! I think it’s very pretty and the colors work so well together.

      • Phyrra

Thanks! It’s definitely not your typical rainbow eye.

I think its beautiful! Phyrra? Fail? Yea right.

      • Phyrra

I do think I had major fail with blending in crease.

    • Yvonne

I think it looks funky and cool!!

      • Phyrra

        Thank you Yvonne :)

I agree – I think it looks great!! We are our own worst critic.

      • Phyrra

        This is entirely true!

    • Lucy

I wouldn’t call this a fail at all. You always do so many creative and lovely looks. I like all of the shades you used.

    • http://ethicnote.blogspot.com Rae

It’s cute — definitely not a fail!! I’m in awe of how many different shades you used, though :o They’re definitely all necessary (and all look great,) but I’m pretty sure I would have gotten lost in that pile of pigments!

      • Phyrra

Naw, if you just take your time it’s not too bad :)

    • Shayne

I LOVE this!!! I have always wanted to do a rainbow eye but am so afraid that I would look like a 37-year-old woman trying too hard. However, I am rethinking that after seeing this on your lovely eyes. I am especially enraptured with the lower lid ~ the yellow, purple & pink with the blue liner is GENIUS!!! This look was an epic win!

    • thebirdofparadise

I also love it! I also really appreciate it that you include one or more pictures of your whole face, too. It just gives me a better impression of how the eyes look in relation to the entire face.

I don’t mean to criticize bloggers who only want to post close-up pictures of their eyes. Since I don’t have a blog, and therefore don’t post ANY pictures of myself (close up or full face) I would never judge.

But since you don’t mind doing it, I will say it helps me learn more. :)

    • lillypug

This is not a fail. Looks great, I like the way you kind of angled the shadow instead of it going straight up and down.

    • sperrfeuer

I think the top lid is kind of unbalanced- (Needs more blending, maybe?)

Apart from that it’s really pretty!
