Today I’m happy to tell you about a new company, Persephone Minerals. Persephone Minerals has some lovely, soft, complex colors with duochrome action. Victoria, the owner, sent me samples of her Exotic Dance Collection, as well as several other colors she’s created.

They look like lovely shadows, but… I find some of those names rather unappealing. Maybe it’s just me.
I didn’t care for some of the Exotic Dance collection names, but I found the non-collectioin names to be ok.
You’re not alone, Jade! I’m no stranger to strip clubs, but… eek. There are a few I’d get & maybe tear the labels off, but there are others that are so crass I’ll look for similar colors elsewhere. I understand this marketing technique–Urban Decay does the same thing with their stoner references–but I guess I’m just not in the target audience.
Bonus awkward strip club story: My boss buys me a lap dance, the chick sashays over… OMG it’s a girl I used to babysit! Never, ever go to a strip club in your hometown!

I’ve decided I like swatching there since I have more room than on my hand or my arm.
Yeah that actually makes more sense especially for so many colors!
Yeah, if it’s a small collection, no more than like 12 colors, i’ll do my hand, but anything else I really prefer the thigh.
