Seven New Sugarpill Shades

Recently I received the 7 new Sugarpill shades from Amy. I just finally was able to swatch them! I swatched them on bare skin, on Aromaleigh Light Primer and on Pixie Epoxy. I also did some color family swatches.

The 7 new shades work very well with the original colors that were released. They’re all vegan, which is great.

Stella – The blackest of jet blacks, bursting with rainbow diamond sparkle.

This is a lovely black shade that appears to have aqua and pink and purple sparkles in it.

Darling – Stunning teal loaded with iridescent turquoise star bursts.

Darling is gorgeous, my kind of teal :)

Magentric – Metallic deep magenta with a dazzling turquoise sheen.

Magentric is really lovely, and especially striking over Pixie Epoxy. I couldn’t get the turquoise to show up on the camera, but it was apparent in person.

Weekender – Metallic blue-violet with intense sparkle and sheen.

Weekender was a deeper blue-violet than it appeared in the jar, and much prettier than I anticipated.

Tipsy – High-shimmer true grass green.

Tipsy is a pretty grass green, it doesn’t lean yellow, more of a true green as it is described.

Paperdoll – Lovely lavender with dazzling shimmer and sparkle.

Paperdoll is an interesting light semi-matte lavender shade with shimmer.

Birthday Girl – Sweet princess pink with iridescent fuchsia sparkles.

This is a pretty mid-tone pink, and with its near matte finish, it looked very interesting, too. I’m curious to see how this translates on my lid.

I also did some Color Family Swatching/Comparisons.

As you can see, Absinthe is a yellow green, where as Tipsy is grass green and Midori is a deeper pearly green.

I’ve been asked several times for a dupe for MAC Partylicious. Partylicious is a turquoise with silver pearl. Darling is sparklier, maybe a 70% similar color, but I think unless you’re obsessed with aqua like I am, you only need one or the other. Afterparty is a deeper midtone turquoise in comparison.

Birthday Girl is a bit deeper than Decora. Decora is lighter and sparklier. Magentric leans magenta and is deeper than either of them. Dollipop is an intense hot pink.

Paperdoll is deeper than Hysteric and semi-matte. Hysteric is lighter and sparklier. Weekender is deeper and more blue-based than either. Poison Plum is the deepest of them all.

I like the new colors and I really can’t wait to wear them. I’ve even got a look in mind for the lovely Grey!

The loose eye shadows are $12 each. You get a ton of product for that amount, net weight of 5 grams.

You can see swatches of other Sugarpill colors on bare skin and Pixie Epoxy here.

You can see my previous review here. I wholeheartedly recommend Sugarpill.

*Royal Sugar, Tiara, Lumi, Love+ and Dollipop are the colors I purchased myself. The rest of the products were sent to me for review purposes.*

I’m interested to see how they perform in a look, because I’ve read a few blog posts saying they’re hard to work with :(

How does Stella compare to Fyrinnae’s Immortality or Fyre & Ice?

Some really nice colours here ! Shame they don’t do samples, I don’t really want to invest in 5g worth of eyeshadow, because I might not use them that often. Will have to have a think …

I really love the colors, so if you see one that you really like, you should give at least 1 a try.
