You can see I used the Goody Spin Pins in my hair, just one on each side and my hair stayed up all day. Love them

Sylph – Light powdery teal with a pink shift
Kharon – Navy blue with majestic purple sparkle
Valkyries – A light dusty neutral pink pearlescent

Bane- Bright pink with blue/violet undertone

I played around with different nail polishes on my nail wheel to figure out what I wanted to wear to DragonCon.
I ended up going with BB Couture Blue Bahama for my toes.
For my tips I did Rimmel’s 615 Night Before on all my nails. On my ring finger for an accent color I put on Orly’s Galaxy Girl.
It looks REALLY awesome in person.
On that note, I’m very happy because I have a good friend watching our home and Phaedra while we go to DragonCon. I’ve got posts programmed for while I’m gone (I might have done a few swatches for you 
). I’ll take plenty of pictures at D*C and post them when I come back.

Will do! The short explanation is that I twist my hair into a bun, like normal, then holding the end of the hair, I start to twist the pin into the bun, making sure it hooks around the end that I’m holding. I twist through the center and voila!
Yes please! I just bought some, and I feel so dumb that I can’t make them work. I just cannot figure it out. T_T Maybe my hair isn’t long enough.

If your hair is any thicker than mine, you would probably need 2 pins per bun. You put in one pin like this | and the other pin — like that. So they sort of cross over to help hold your hair secure. I’ll try to do a video for you all once I get back.

Hi there! I’m pretty new to your blog, and to makeup in general. So far I love your looks, reviews, swatches, etc.! (And you are very pretty!) Based in part on your reviews, I’ve ordered a bunch of samples from Fyrinnae. I also definitely need to pick up some of those spin pins! (And nail wheels! I forgot those existed!)

Eye shadow primer: I’ve seen you use Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, and Concrete Minerals Primer. How do you decide which one to use with a given look? Do you recommend one over the other for someone new to makeup?
I really like Sobe Botanicals Primer, Detrivore Primer, Concrete Minerals Primer, and TFSI. I reach for TFSI more than anything else, though. UDPP used to crease on me, but UDPP Eden is ok. I LOVE the new tube that UDPP is finally coming out in.
Anyway, it depends on your price range, if you want to support Indie, etc.
