B Cocky – A Special Interview with Nymphette

Recently I had the opportunity to interview the lovely Nymphette to find out a bit about her and her new company, B Cocky.

I know that you chose the name Nymphette based off of your favorite MAC lipglass, how long have you used the name?
I actually chose Nymphette because it was my first major makeup purchase =) I was a tomboy all my life and didn’t wear ANY makeup until I was 21. I’m actually pretty new to the blogging world so I’ve used the moniker Nymphette for about a year and a half. My YouTube channel is about 8 months old.

How long have you been a makeup artist?
I’ve been freelancing for over 3 years now. I was actually in real estate for over 7 years so I couldn’t focus on makeup artistry as much as I did when I got out of real estate. Now I do what I love and I love what I do.

What are your holy grail beauty products?
I have a ton but I can’t live without my MAC Fix+, LUSH Angels on Bare Skin, Mac Paintpot in Painterly, Mac Greasepaint Sticks, MAC Face & Body Foundation, Mac Sculpt for contouring, Anastasia Brow Fix, Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Kit in Ash Brown, MAC Pink Swoon blush and so many lipsticks that I would probably bore you.

It’s evident you love bright pink lips, what are your top 5 bright pink lip products?
Oh wow this is a hard one. I grab MAC Girl About Town the most. Then it would probably be MAC Impassioned, MAC Show Orchid and Wet n Wild’s 511b and 521a.

You often dye your hair gorgeous colors. What are your favorite colors of dye to play with?
I tend to stay in the blue, pink, fuchsia and purple color range. I had my hair an amazing greyish silver before but the maintenance was too much even for me.

How did you come up with the B Cocky concept?
I’m a pretty hands on, crafty person. You’ll often find me cutting my clothes up or making something and I made feather earrings. I thought why not experiment with a feather extension?!

Do you always wear Cocktail Extensions?
I do always wear them!! They last in your hair for months but can be removed at anytime and I’d rather wear them. I consider them a part of my hairstyle now.

What colors do they come in?
They pretty much come in any color you can think of. The natural is what I wear and is a black and cream shade. Is also comes in lavender, yellow, brown, teal, blue, purple, orange, pink and olive.

How long do they last?
The recommended length of time is over 3 months. At that point the feathers do show some wear but technically the extension itself can stay in your hair for longer than that. Again, if you get bored with the color you can easily remove them at any point with no damage to your hair.

How much do they cost?
The COCKtails are $20 for each extension and each extension has between 4-6 feathers in it. We also sell them in a pack of 5 for $45 which is obviously the better deal or a pack of 10 for $80. Most people use about 5 extensions.

What are your favorite colors to wear in the extensions?
I am dying to put some of the bright colors in my hair but I haven’t because I have so many colors in my hair as is. I am contemplating going all black so that I can wear some of the amazing colors like the pink, teal and purple!!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to let me interview you!
