Green Visions – A Review

Recently I had the opportunity to try several products from Green Visions. Green Visions is a company that makes organic and natural spa products. They’re cruelty free, and made without harmful ingredients, dyes or synthetic additives.

I was sent several products to try out.

Wine Spa Essentials Bath & Shower Gel 8 oz – $12
The scent I chose for this was Moscato Paradise. It smells really nice and tropical. Notes of grape and kiwi seed oils blended with tropical and fresh floral scents of coconut, mango, pineapple, watermelon, jasmine, honeysuckle.

The ingredients are Aloe Vera Juice*, Estate Grown and Natural Fermented Wines, Grape Skin Extract, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Fruit Seed Oils, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil*, Extra Virgin Olive Oil*, Phenoxyethanol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Vegetable Gum, Fragrances. *Denotes Organic Ingredients.

Of the four products that I’ve tried, I liked this one the least. While I loved the scent, I didn’t like the feel of the shower gel on my skin. Something made it feel almost tingly on the more delicate areas, like my under arms. I’m not sure what ingredient that is, but it’s definitely not for me.

1/3 oz Perfume Oil & Vintage Inspired Green Glass Bottle – $20
This is supposed to be a very nourishing and antioxidant filled perfume. I can attest that it leaves no greasy feeling on the skin. The ingredients are Sulfate Free and Natural Fermented Wines, Olive Oil*, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Oil*, Soybean Oil*, Primrose Oil*, Vitamin E Oil, Fruit Seed Oils, Citric Acid, Green Tea Extract*, White Tea Extract*, and Grapefruit Seed Extract (natural preservative), Fragrances. *Denotes Organic Ingredients.

While the vintage inspired green glass bottle is really gorgeous, it doesn’t seem to close in such a way that you could travel with this bottle.

That said, I love the scent I chose.
Cabernet Sauvignon ~ blended with Cabernet Sauvignon Wine and infused with notes of black raspberries, orchid, amber and vanilla and red raspberry seed oil.

You can smell the sweet red raspberries hours after its been applied. It’s not a heavy or cloying scent on my skin. With all my black raspberry scents, this is definitely more of a red and unique among my collection of perfumes. I really like it.

Extreme Moisture Hair Masque 2 oz – $10
I was curious about this hair masque because I haven’t really tried too many hair masques in a long time. I’m pleased to say that I love this masque.

The ingredients are Aloe Juice*, Cetearyl Alcohol, Castor Seed Oil, Stearalkonium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, d-Calcium Pantothenate (Panthenol Vitamin B5), Hydrolized Wheat Protein, Raw Honey*, Avocado Oil*, Jojoba Oil*, Extra Virgin Olive Oil*, Shea Oil, Coconut Oil*, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Meadowfoam Oil, Chamomile Extract, Burdock Root Extract, Lemon Essential Oil, Peppermint Essential Oil*. Rosemary Essential Oil. *Denotes Organic Ingredients

When I did this hair masque I applied just a very tiny bit, combed it through my hair, then added a bit more. Basically the instructions said to apply a thin coat to my hair and leave it on for 10 minutes, which I did. After I washed it out and let my hair air dry, I had no little frizzies! I really love the ingredients in this one. I couldn’t smell the peppermint oil until the very end, when I went to rinse it out of my hair.

Vintage Winter Bliss Seasonal Body Butter Sample
The pepperminty scent was really nice.

I’m not sure of the ingredients in the specific sample I was sent since I can’t find it on their website. The texture was nice and it absorbed pretty well into my skin, though I did have to rinse my finger tips after application.

Overall, I really liked the perfume and the hair masque. I wasn’t wowed by the body butter but it was ok, and the shower gel really was not for me. I would definitely recommend the perfume and hair masque.

Have you tried Green Visions Wine Spa line or Energy Spa line?

Do you like organic lines like this?

Products were sent for Consideration by PR. All Opinions are my own.

I don’ t really care if anything is organic, the most important thing is it does what it’s supposed to. I also have to admit that I’m not really into skincare. I don’t really get breakouts or blackheads/whiteheads, even though I’m a smoker and … generally careless with my skin, so I only care for skincare that makes me feel good in general, like bodylotions that smells delicious, bath salts etc.

I love stuff that smells good and works well :)
I was disappointed in the shower gel, but it did smell good. Lucky you with no breakouts! I still get them sometimes.
