Suds n’ Sass Break Away Tarts – A Review

This has sort of turned into an unofficial Suds n’ Sass Review Week for me, so I hope that you’re enjoying the reviews of her various products! :) I’ve got some Bubble Scoops, Bath Bombs and Body Glaze coming my way. Now, on to today’s review!

It took me a very long time to get a wax tart burner. I didn’t see the allure of wax tarts. Why buy a burner or tarts if I liked candles? Well, candles are great (they truly are) but tarts and burners allow for some fantastic combinations of scents in addition to the fact that there is no flame!

So a while ago, I purchased break away tarts from Suds n’ Sass (Affiliate link) in a mixture of Cuddly Blue Poodle & Twilight Woods. I thought it would be an awesome scent for this time of year. The mix of the two is pretty amazing.

While you don’t have to mix two different scents, I thought it would be fun and I’m very glad that I did. Mostly what I smell is a bit of vanilla, a lot of blueberry, a whiff of coconut, a touch of apricot and the cypress/woodsy scent. The combination together is sweet and woodsy and instantly makes me think of walking through a cold woodland right at the cusp of fall and winter, when the air is biting and the leaves are crunching beneath your feet. Except, I know, you wouldn’t be smelling blueberries. You’d smell woodsmoke from someone’s campfire. But damn it, it’s a fantasy, so you’re smelling blueberries. Yum.

You can see the pretty blue sparkly wax melting into a blue pool of goo. You can burn these for probably 4 to 6 hours and still enjoy the lovely aroma. You can let it congeal and harden back up, then heat it up to go again. I think the most I’ve done that is 3 times before I just scrape it out or add more wax.

As far as SnS’s tarts go, a 6 pack like this is about $4. This is made with soy and paraffin waxes, awesome scents that you choose, and pretty colors.

Would I buy again?
Definitely. I like the tarts. I love being able to customize my scents. I like the price.

Have you tried Suds n’ Sass’s tarts? If so, what are your favorite scents?

Product was purchased by me because I wanted something yummy to burn.

Easiest way for me to remove wax from my electric tart warmer or ones with the little tea light… is to carefully, and I stress that word… carefully to the freezer and let it freeze. It shrinks it and forces it away from the enamel.
Just dont drop blue wax on your carpet! :) Suds N Sass sound amazing.

What I’ve ended up doing is letting the wax get hard, then taking a butter knife and carefully sliding it around the edge of the tart warmer.

Ooo! I’m a tart FREAK, and I have a whole cabinet full of them. Mostly homemade from a local lady, and some scentsy. Guess it’s time to try Suds N Sass
