A while ago I purchased a shower souffle from Suds n’ Sass (Affiliate Link) in Pumpkin Sass, as I wanted to try one of her fall scents.

Pumpkin Sass is described as caramelized pears mixed with a bit of pumpkin and spices with a sweet buttery crumb topping .

Now, many of you probably do NOT know this, but I love cooked pears. I love the pear version of apple sauce. I love poached pears. I love pears in pasta with pine nuts in a white wine sauce. I love pears cooked in just about any fashion! For Thanksgiving, and sometimes Christmas, I make a dish with sweet potatoes and pears. You can check the recipe out on the iPhyrra forums.

The idea of a fall scent with pears and caramel and pumpkin just drove me over the edge and I had to have it! I’m really glad I did, because I really like the product.

The shower souffle is like a whipped bathing creme. It’s basically a creme product in a jar that turns into a foaming body wash when you swipe your wet loofah across it and suds it up against your skin. Voilà! Lots of bubbles and lather.

I prefer bathing cremes and shower gels to bar soap. I always feel like bar soap is messy and you lose part of the bar by keeping it in the shower, plus, soap scum! For whatever reason, I never feel like that about shower gel or bathing cremes. So while I think bar soaps are beautiful to behold, at least the artisan bars that so many of my favorite indie stores create, I just don’t purchase them because I can’t see myself using them.

Bathing cremes and shower gels I go through like you wouldn’t believe! The nice thing about the Shower Souffle is that you really only need a tiny bit to get the lather going. I purchased the small size jar which is $5.50 for 2 oz.

The scent itself is awesome! You can smell the pears and the buttery crumble scent intertwined with the pumpkin. It’s a fantastic scent and I have it coming to me in perfume and body glaze form soon.

Oh and the best part? It’s Vegan! The Glycerin in it is of vegetable origin.

Ingredients: Glycerin, Water, Sweet Almond Oil, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sorbitol, Propylene glycol, Disodium Lauryl sulfosuccinate, Stearic Acid, Sodium Chloride, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Fragrance, Colorants
May Contain: colored sugar, glitter (as decoration & only on the top)

Would I purchase this again?
You bet! Though I think next time, I want to get Poodle in the Woods scent!

You had me at recipe! I’ll be over there later today. Not a pumpkin fan, though I made spicy potatoes with pumpkin and edamame to go with curried ratatouille last night.

But later, I will go over to Suds ‘n Sass to see the other “flavors”, as your description of the texture of this sounds yummy – even though my shower contains an embarrassing number of shower gels and creams already!

Like you, I don’t care for bar soap; the only bars are my husbands and a glycerin bar by the sink.

      Oooh your dinner sounds good!

Yes, SnS has a lot of scents I like, and even a few I suggested.

Is the shower soufflé moisturizing at all? Like do you feel you could go without putting lotion on after taking a shower? As soon as I get out of the shower my skin instantly feels dry and I can’t stand that!

It’s about as moisturizing as my other body washes. I don’t feel dried out, but I don’t put moisturizer on each time after I get out of the shower.
