Aromaleigh Astronomical – Swatched

I’ve swatched Aromaleigh’s latest collection, Astronomical. The colors are soft and pretty. I love the subtlety of Milky Way. Antimatter is gorgeous in ways that words cannot explain. Heliosphere is a pretty golden shade and Dark matter looks like a great crease color for any gold without going black. Neutrino really stands out to me as unusual and pretty. Blue Shift and Escape Velocity are just so awesome with their sparkles. For wonderful shade descriptions, check out these.

Row 1 – perihelio – binary – azimuth – fusion
Row 2 – milky way – blue shift – escape velocity – retrograde

Pretty! I like ephemeris, along with that ones you like.

Where could I buy a day bulb?

I bought mine at Home Depot. You should be able to find them there.

    azimuth is top notch!

antimatter looks great too.. looks like a lavender sparkle with a silvery grey base?

    • Phyrra December 3, 2010 at 12:35 am #

Yeah that’s actually a really good way to describe it. The grey reminds me a bit of Wonderland from Gothic Lolita (not exact, but sort of similar) and it’s kind of a lavender pink to it. I think it’s really lovely.

I need to get Event Horizon on namesake alone >.>

      Yeah the names are pretty!

I’m especially fond of Binary, Azimuth (it looks glowy to me), Escape Velocity, Neutrino, Nadir, Celestial, Dark Matter, Crescent (wow those sparks!), Wavelength, and Ephemeris. But i’ll pay close attention to Antimatter as you recommend since Aromaleigh’s shimmering e/s’s are notorious for their beautiful interference.

I’m wearing Milky Way, Heliosphere, Dark Matter, & Antimatter today. I used Antimatter along my lower lash line and in the outer v.

I ordered binary and dark matter as soon as I saw the collection. I couldn’t resist them!

    • Phyrra December 3, 2010 at 9:45 am #

They are pretty! Dark matter is one of the colors I’m wearing today.

Lovely swatches – I really like Milky Way, always looking for a good white/highlight shade!!

    • Phyrra December 3, 2010 at 9:46 am #

Milky Way is an awesome highlighter shade.

Is Escape Velocity really as purple as it’s showing on my monitor? On AL’s blog swatches, it’s a deep indigo sparkly-thing, but here it seems more mid-tone cool blue-purple. Argh, the perils of buying things on the internet…

To me it’s definitely more purple. If you look at the flash and the daybulb pictures, to me they look accurate to the colors I swatched. I feel it is a blue-based purple. Other people say it’s indigo. It’s one of my favorite purple shades because I like the very blue-based shades.

Then I shall go order it forthwith! I’ve been looking for a deep blue-based purple that’s not too dark, this seems like it might be it! Thanks Phyrra. :-)

      Yay!

Yet again,, I am stuck with sadness and yet….hopeful. If Miss K. can’t help but continue to make new shadows even as her business closes then she might at least take it to Etsy. Then we won’t be totally deprived.

    • Phyrra December 5, 2010 at 12:11 pm #

Oooh I hadn’t even thought about Etsy.

    • Becca December 5, 2010 at 1:10 pm #

As a seller on both sites, I’d recommend Artfire, instead of Etsy, especially for someone like Miss K who has such a huge following already and really doesn’t *need* the extra exposure that comes from being on Etsy- seller fees are lower on Artfire, by lots ;)

This is, of course, assuming she’d even ever consider continuing to sell makeup on the internet. I don’t blame her for walking away from that, as much as it sucks for the rest of us.

thx for the linky-love, dear heart! :) y’know, I’m realizing that my elevation (4500+ ft above sea level) affects the way colours appear to me (and possibly others at high altitudes) VS how they look closer to sea level — kinda makes me wish I’d started blogging Miss K’s fantastic collections sooner :\ oh well — c’est la vie!

just FYI, I like a lot of the same ones you do: I bought perihelion, binary, extra-galactic, dark matter, nadir, big bang, azimuth, crescent, milky way, and heliosphere; I asked for blueshift for my freebie :) like I need more e/s ROFL xoxo

Do you think the altitude changes the colors?

And yay! I’m glad you like a lot of the same as me!

Some of the colors are lovely! unfortunatelly is not easy for me (international) to purchase from Aromaleight :( :( I really wanted some samples collections and rock glitters.
