I’ve been purchasing Batiste Dry Shampoo for a couple of years ago. It’s available for purchase from Sally Beauty and I think it’s normally $7 with my Sally Beauty card.
The Website says:
Leaves hair feeling clean, fragrant and full of body
Great product for active people on the go
Revitalizes greasy, dull and lifeless hair
Transforms your hair without water
The Ingredients are:
Butane, Isobutane, Oryza Sativa (rice) Starch, Propane, Alcohol Denat., Parfum (fragrance), Coumarin Eugenol, Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Linalool, Distearyldimonium Chloride, Cetrimonium Chloride.
Price:
$7 for 5.05 oz
I love dry shampoo. This product is WHY I love dry shampoo.
I shake this can vigorously, then I spray this in my hair, near the roots. I then bend forward and flip my head upside down and spray the underside too. I leave this in for about 5 to 10 minutes. Then I use a natural bristle brush to brush it out. You can use your fingers to massage it at the scalp. I just find it best to spray it in, rub it a bit, wait, then brush it out.
I normally use Dry Shampoo around my 5th or 6th day before I shampoo. I really prefer to shampoo about once a week, so using dry shampoo lets me go an extra day or two.
Would I purchase again?
Yes! I keep purchasing this stuff again and again! I find it lives up to all of its claims for me. My hair is clean and not oily. It brushes out without leaving a nasty residue behind. It does add a bit of body.
Product has been purchased by me, over and over again. All opinions are my own.

Hello Cotton
I LOVE this stuff. After spending waay too much money on high end dry shampoos, I picked this up in an emergency and I LOVED it way more than the 20 dollar one i had been using! Thanks for the review!!

Me too! I totally love this stuff. I’ve tried a few different brands and this just seems to be the best fo my hair type. So glad you like it
$7?!!! Gosh, it’s only £1 here! I’d still pay more though, I don’t wash my hair very often because of the colour so this is a life saver. I love the Blush one

It’s totally worth it to me, even if it is $7
I have dark hair and always worry about white residue, which is why I have never tried dry shampoo. The product appeals to me since I really do not like washing my hair more than necessary. I take it you don’t have any issues with residue?
I don’t have a problem with white residue. I spray it in, leave it in for 5 or 10 minutes (usually the length of time it takes me to shower in the morning, I keep my hair pulled back and covered), then I use a natural bristle brush and brush my hair and it comes out
I don’t end up with left over chunks in my hair.
I still miss the Tropical scented but I’ve been using it for 5 years now and love it!

Yeah, talk about wonderful!!!
It’s available at Sally’s? Damn, I’ve been planning a trip there, and would like to try a dry shampoo…this seems like a plan!
Thanks for the review! I think we care for our hair in pretty much the same manner (wash about once a week, occasionally twice if it’s extra gunky or for a special event), color with semi-permanents, etc.. mine’s just a wee bit longer. I’ve been meaning to get a dry shampoo for ages. My scalp will be oily long before it ever makes it down to my dry length.
Have you checked out CocoaPink’s (cocoapink.net) products? I grabbed a little bit of everything in a Black Friday order and I have to say….my hair is glorious. Sooo soft and amazing I’ve even taken to wearing it down as much as possible (not always an easy feat when it’s brushing your tailbone and heavy coats are invovled). The next time she has a sale, you might want to check it out? For reference I grabbed the Princess shampoo, Shine Sweetie conditioner, Solid Junket condiitoner, Glissade (a kind of detangling leave in that adds a very light hold), and Ends with Benefits spray.
Ok, I’m done side-tracking you.
It’s totally available at Sally’s!
I’ll check out CocoaPink, I’ve never heard of them. Thank you so much for the rec! Please, always, side track :>
I think you would like their stuff.
I found out about it through the bpal forum, but never ordered because of the previous owner’s…….”issues.” However, since the new owner took over there have been nothing but rave reviews. I’ve got nothing bad to say, and my hair is amazing, so…yeah.
Anyway, I grabbed a small size of Baptiste today to try out (and a tangle teezer, which looked scary at first but actually detangled my hair without yanking it out). Hair isn’t quite grimey enough yet, but maybe tomorrow.
Out of curiosity, which scent do you prefer? Pink or teal?
Both are fine, but I think I like the Original (bottle on the right) better than the Blush.
Batiste is the best! It’s £2 a can here when it’s not on offer, I always keep a can or two in. Sis is hooked on it, too.

It’s fantastic <3
I’ve never used a dry shampoo…but it does seem like you and I have the same philosophy on washing hair. I usually go 4-5 days before it starts to get gross and the dry shampoo sounds like a great idea. I guess I’m going to have to make my way over to Sally’s this week

I used to wash every day until I moved to California. My first hair stylist in California explained to me that my crazy colors would last longer if I didn’t wash every day. She also explained that it wasn’t necessary to wash your hair every day. She encouraged me to see how long I could go without washing my hair. I think the longest I went was like 11 days. I tend to go 5 to 7 days, then use a dry shampoo, then wash. I like doing it just once a week because it really does help my color to last longer and I feel like my hair stays healthier.
