Some Phaedra & Maximus Cuteness

You asked for it, so I’ve got some cute pictures for you!

The collars are from my dear friend Hoyden, who is getting ready to launch her store, Pete’s Dog Gear. She’s made all of Phaedra’s awesome collars, as well as Maximus’s collars and harnesses.

      Yeah he’s 7 now, so he’s got a bit of a beard.

I will never tire of cute doggie lovin’! They are such cute pets. Love how Phaedra is so regal in that last pic, but all spread eagle in the one above it. LOL :)

How much does Maximus weigh? They are both pure awesomeness.

    • Phyrra December 7, 2010 at 9:30 pm #

Maximus is 20 lbs and Phaedra is 42 lbs right now :)

I bet its hard getting used to how much pugs shed! I never know a short-haired dog like a pug could shed so much. Do your dogs play together ever?

    • Phyrra December 9, 2010 at 5:32 pm #

Actually Maximus isn’t shedding as badly as I thought. I expected a lot worse.
They sometimes play together, but it’s taking a long time for Maximus to get used to how Phaedra plays.

Awww yay! Thank you for sharing! :) I like it when dogs flip over on their backs, they always look so silly :P

I have to agree that pugs shed A LOT. And unfortunately my boyfriend’s pug is fawn colored, aka mostly white so I try to avoid sitting on the downstairs couch as much as possible =/ Oh and funnily enough, your pug’s name is Maximus, while that’s what my bf calls his – a “nickname” for Max, LoL!

Whatever happened to the other pug? I seem to recall seeing pics of another, were you dog-sitting?

We temporarily were watching the other pug and she went to her original owner.

He does shed, but Dave puts extra time into vaccuuming to make up for it, so I’ve not really noticed it too badly.

OMG! My frug sheds like mad! It’s insane. I have to sweep daily or we are drowning in his fur! I have always heard that pugs shed so much, but I thought it was an exaggeration. Even a half pug sheds madly.
Frink weighs 35 pounds. Both parents were 20 pounds! The Frenchie side gave him some beefiness. And this one of the many reasons why finding a harness to fit is so difficult. His little pits are “shaved” from his current harness :(

Max will sometimes be ok and other times shed on my shirt. With our concrete floors, it makes it easier to see the fur and vaccuum it up.
Maximus is 20 lbs, but in good shape, not overweight like I’ve seen a lot of pugs.
