The lovely Ana of Lipsticks & Lightsabers asked me to attempt a pin up style look with my new hair, so this is what I came up with. Instead of the traditional red lips I used MAC Fusion Pink, which is a fantastic, bright coral red with violet-pink iridescence. I also used my Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark as the crease color and I think it worked very nicely.
Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
MAC Blanc Type – all over eye area
MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Medium Dark – crease and lower lash line
Sobe Gel Eyeliner in Blackout – upper lash line
Sugarpill Bulletproof – on top of Blackout
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Midnight Cowboy – lower water line
Hard candy 1000 Lashes Primer
Flirt! It Curls Mascara in Brunette Bombshell
Avon Glimmersticks brow pencil in Soft Black
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero – to darken brows a bit
Cheeks:
MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Medium Dark- to define cheeks and a bit as blush
Sobe Blush in Icing on the Cake – blush
Benefit High-Beam – to highlight cheeks
Face:
Too Faced Primed & Poreless Face primer – on t-tzone
Hard Candy Welcome Matte Mattifying Powder – on tzone
Meow Purrfect Puss foundation in Inquisitive Siamese – on t-zone and under eyes
Stila Illuminating powder in Rose Gold – lightly dusted on face
Lips:
Stila lipliner in Red
MAC Lipstick in Fusion Pink

I wish I could find a red lipstick that actually liked enough to wear in public. I’m not afraid of colours in general, but red is my weak spot!

The key to being comfortable in red is finding a red you like. It can be a sheer red, or a blue-based red or an orange or yellow based red, a more neutral red, whatever you’re comfortable with. Fusion Pink is not a traditional pin up girl color as it’s not a red, it’s a coral, but I think it works perfect
I may do a post on my favorite reds. I used to wear reds all the time, so I’ve got a variety of them.

Fusion Pink is still up on the MAC site, I think it’s a Pro color, so sometimes it’s available and othertimes not. And Go for it! I love supporting Whimsy Beading. Her stuff is great

The pin up look is my favorite for myself. I have MUFE’s Moulin Rouge and it’s an amazing red. A little on the pink side, so it’s probably better for cooler skin tones.
