Right before the holidays Overall Beauty sent me a few new shades of eye shadows to try. The shades make for lovely washes of color or combine together for a nice night time look.
Hope is a pearly light beige shade.
China Doll is a pearly light salmon shade.
Rag Doll is a pigmented pearly navy blue shade that leans purple.
Dust Bunny is a charcoal grey with with teal and sapphire sparks.
Hope and China Doll are very versatile, work horse type eye shadows. They brighten up the eye area, you can use them for a more natural look, as a one color wash or as a highlighter.
Rag Doll makes me think of the cat breed by the same name. It works as an accent color or a liner color, or if you’re more daring, you can use it as a lid shade.
Dust Bunny’s name cracks me up! The color makes for a sexy smoky eye, as well as a liner or accent color.
I think these colors are nice and will work with most skintones.

Dust Bunny looks so pretty, and the name made me giggle, but I have such a hard time with dark grey colors, I always end up looking like I took a punch in the face as opposed to a ‘sexy, smoky’ eye look. Back to playing with makeup!
