Peach & Brown Look

I had stuff going on at work today, so I put together a peach and brown neutral look. I kept my cheeks neutral with my favorite nude blush, Icing on the Cake, from Sobe Botanicals. I can’t help it, I’m addicted. However, I packed a punch with my lips by wearing Show Orchid. I’d meant to grab Azalea Blue but I was in a bit of a hurry and SO first, so I grabbed it. I also used brown eyeliner, unusual for me.

Eyes:
TFSI
Too Faced Silk Teddy – lid
Too Faced Peach Fuzz – browbone and crease
Too Faced Sexpresso – crease and outer lid
MAC Blanc Type – inner corners of eye and on browbone
MAC Dazzlelight – under eyebrows to highlight
Urban Decay Bourbon – to line upper and lower lash line
Urban Decay Corrupt – upper water line
Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy – lower water line
Hard Candy 1000 Lashes Primer
Bare Escentuals Buxom Mascara in Blackest Black
Covergirl Lash Blast Volume in Black

Face:
Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer – on t zone
Hard Candy Welcome Matte powder – on t zone with a fiber optic brush
Meow Purrfect Puss foundation in Inquisitive Siamese – applied lightly all over with a fiber optic brush, and under eyes with a foundation brush

Cheeks:
Sobe Botanicals Blush in Icing on the Cake
Hard Candy Moon Glow Luminizing Powder – to highlight

Lips:
Nyx lipliner in Purple Rain
MAC Lipstick in Show Orchid

Very glammy! And glossy-magazine-makeup-ad-ish! (And is it just me, or are your lashes looking especially lovely lately??) I know browns aren’t your fave, but you do look darling in them.

PRETTY! I LOVE your bright looks but your neutral looks are so enchanting. The bright lipstick really pulls the whole look together.

Thanks Pixie :) I’m always happy when I can wear bright lips.

Hmmm, looks more golden and smoky topaz to me – very dramatic! You have the BEST brows.

Hehe! Thanks! I just named it based off the official shade descriptions :)

Okay that’s it. You’ve won me over to that dang Hard Candy Moon glow. I resisted heartily but can no longer. I’m a broken woman lol!

OMG I love this! The flashy frosty shadow is perfect with the daytime-smoky crease, and I love that you did a bold lip with it! I like that you went for a brown liner too, but I think I would have liked black better in this instance … that might just be me :P

    • Phyrra January 16, 2011 at 11:48 am #

I only chose brown because I rarely wear brown. I usually want black :) Glad you like it though!

I was on the fence about your haircut at first, alternating between being cute and “maybe too extreme?”. But now I think it looks really nice. It’s unusual enough that you stand out (duh, not like you can’t with the rest of your look and hair color), *but* also looks really professional. I bet you look smashing in a collared shirt or “power suit.”

    • Phyrra January 16, 2011 at 11:49 am #

I think it takes me washing it and styling it the way I like to wear it for me to be completely happy with it, too, so I know what you mean. Thanks :)

I bet it’s higher maintenance than your last cut. Is it?

        • Phyrra January 18, 2011 at 11:11 am #

Probably about as much as the last cut. I let the last one grow out a long time. Now, both of these cuts are more maintenance than the long hair I had for quite a while.

I thought I said how much I liked this one but I guess I didn’t. Well I DO!

I think I got sidetracked trying to find out what palette those were in and realized I had it already lol. Oh well, I want the other one also.
Have you seen the new one? I haven’t, in person but I think I need it.
