Pomegranate & Oak Whipped Bathing Creme Review

Before Christmas I purchased Pomegranate and Oak Whipped Bathing Creme from One Hand Washes the Other. The scent description sounded divine, and since it wasn’t a bar soap (I’m not a fan of bar soaps), I knew I’d get use out of it and probably like it.

See what I think!

The Website Claims:
This is a nourishing, lathering skin treat for your bathing pleasure. The tiniest bit of this stuff explodes into millions of creamy bubbles.

The Ingredients are:
Foaming soap{Glycerin, water, sodium cocyl isethionate, sorbitol, propylene glycol, disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate, stearic acid, sodium chloride, diazolidinyl urea, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, tetrasodium EDTA}, Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Fragrance, may contain colorant

Price:
$10.50 for 8 oz.

Scent:
Pomegranate & Oak – a unique blend that balances heady pomegranate with hints of mulled fruits, floral muguet, creamy honey-nectar vanilla, and woody, aged oak. I’ve had this one sitting at my desk for weeks now and I’ve been huffing it daily- it’s about time I share it with you.

Does it live up to its claims?
Yes! It lathers up nicely. It doesn’t dry my skin out. The smell is AMAZING. You really don’t need as much creme as you think to lather up and shower.

Would I purchase again?
Yes. I love this scent! It’s definitely a fall or winter scent to me. What’s nice is that Ray really loves it, too. We feel it’s a unisex scent and very inviting, probably because of the two notes that give the creme its name.

Have you tried One Hand Washes the Other? What do you think about whipped bathing cremes?

Product was purchased by me.  All opinions are my own.

How moisturizing is it? I’ve been trying out Etsy soaps/body butters and I find they’re not as moisturizing as the descriptions make them out to be.

It feels more moisturizing than my Dr. Bronners and my Ulta stuff.

I have dry skin. (raises hand)

It washes away clean and is not drying. It is not as emollient as an emulsifying sugar oil scrub is, but it doesn’t leave a filmy layer.

I still use a lotion afterward. But this stuff is pretty awesome.

Ooh good to know! I tend to put on lotion after any shower if I feel dry.

I think I might be a slavering OHWTO fangirl. I have Snake Oil in Pomegranate Oak; whenever I use it as a hair sleekifier (my favorite way to use it) people compliment my wonderful perfume! I’m working on a review, so I won’t say any more for now.

You need to try her lip butter, too.

I’ve gotten a lot of perfumes from them, but haven’t tried anything else yet. Their black tea scent is my favorite because it smells like tea (duh) and pipe tobacco, and i feel like i should be sitting in a fancy study wearing a smoking jacket when i wear it.

I love OHWTO! Mostly I have Becca’s lip butters and lip tints, but I have her Desolation Angel solid perfume, and I’m thinking of trying the creme soap in that scent if she makes it in it. Glad to hear a little goes a long way, that’s always been my complaint with cream or liquid soaps, I go through them way faster than a bar.

Becca’s bath & body products are all I use now! I like the whipped bathing creme followed by the sugar scrub. Then I spritz a little snake oil on before I get outta the shower. It’s heaven! Plus different scents blend so well.

I don’t like the sound of the fragrance personally (Unisex is not for me, I need girly girly scents! :P ) but I love the sound of the formula and a lot more of their products. I’ve never tried anything of theirs but they’re on my list as the next brand to try. There are so many lovely sounding indie shops, I’ll have enough toilletries to last a lifetime soon!

I tend to like really sexy perfumes but I am all over the place with my shower gels :) I’m working my way through all of the ones I’ve purchased! I don’t need to purchase anymore for quite a while.

I love OHWTO so much! I’ve made a bunch of orders from Becca’s Etsy shop (although I think the Artfire one might have lower S&H fees) and I’ve loved all of the products that I’ve received….I’ve even started converting friends and family- my Mom’s been using some of the solid perfumes lately. :)

I got 2 oz samples of the whipped bathing creme in a couple of the LE Halloween scents a while back and I’m really enjoying them. They’re very moisturizing for a creme soap and I like how a hint of scent lingers on my skin for a little while after I get out of the shower.

I love Becca’s Creme Soaps! My favorite is still Blac Choclat. It’s not overly sweet, but it sure is chocolatey.

    • Phyrra January 9, 2011 at 7:21 pm #

      Mmmm Yummy Chocolate!
