Lex from Sobe Botanicals sent me a sneak peek with samples of her new blushes! You’ve seen me sporting Icing on the Cake, my favorite nude blush. I CANNOT get over how much I love this blush and I will be buying a full size soon. I feel like it looks amazing on me. Anyway, on to the pretty colors! I was really happy that I came up with fairly accurate color descriptions for these after looking at them under the daybulb. I think my eye for color is improving. I didn’t get to see the official color descriptions until after I came up with mine.
My color descriptions:
Icing on the cake – delicate pink with vanilla shimmer
Enchanted – blue-based pink with blue shimmer
Nouveau – nude pink with gold shimmer
Shebang! – light pink with purple shimmer
Fortune – soft light gold with pink shimmer
Two to Tango – orange coral with red shimmer
Dolled Up – nude pink with blue shimmer
Charming – apricot with gold shimmer
Metamorphosis – orange with green and gold shimmer
The official color descriptions:
Icing on the Cake-Light soft beige/Taupe w/ blue, pink, gold, copper & violet shimmer
Enchanted-Fuchsia w/ blue shimmer
Nouveaux-purple w/ gold shimmer
Shebang!-Hot pink w/ purple shimmer
Fortune-Light soft gold w/ gold & copper shimmer
Two to Tango-Coral w/ red shimmer
Charming-medium apricot pink w/ gold & bronze shimmer
Dolled up-pink w/ blue, purple & red shimmer
Metamorphosis-Warm Coral w/ teal shimmer
As you can tell, Icing on the Cake is my favorite, but I also like Enchanted, Fortune and Charming. It seems like the colors have a matte base and they’re somehow blended with a bit of shimmer, but I don’t feel like the shimmer is overkill. The colors are delicate to me.
$7.99 for 10 grams
Mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, tin oxide. Except for Enchanted & Shebang! & Two to Tango all have FD&C color and cannot be used on the eyes.
They are Vegan.
I love these blushes. I think they’re reasonably priced, $7.99 for 10 grams (and I think you can also do $11 for a 30 gram refill bag) will last you a long time! I think the colors are all very pretty and flattering. They’re sheer so you can build up the brightness with greater control. The shimmer is very fine and flattering.
Would I purchase?
Yes! I’m waiting for Icing on the Cake to go live so I can buy it How about you? Have you tried Sobe Botanicals? What do you think of these blushes?
Products were sent to me for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Charming has definitely caught my eye. I’m a sucker for pink and gold shimmer blushes!
I think it’s cute!
I’d wear all of these except probably metamorphosis and two-to-tango. They are a bit too heavily pigmented and in the orange spectrum for my pale skin. The rest are gorgeous!
I just tried to use gold as a blush over the weekend on a lark, and I really liked it. Good to see someone is putting it out there.
I’d probably wear Dolled Up and Fortune the most, but Charming would be a great summer color for me.
I’ve been trying to layer blushes more and these are perfect for layering!
All of them look gorgeous! ^^ Noveau looks so pretty!
Nouveau and Enchanted have both caught my eye – love how indie companies are throwing in unexpected shimmer colours/ duochromes to their blush lately!
Me too! It’s awesome!
Oooooooooo me like very much Never tried sobo botanical before, another one to add to the list. I like list especially when their makeup ones
two to tango
and I think fortune is very ineteresting
I need to try Fortune next. Wearing Enchanted today.
All the blushes look so pretty. I can’t even choose which one is my favorite. LOL! >.<
They really are pretty! I keep wearing Icing on the Cake!
Charming is SO PRETTY!! I think I might have to pick that one up. I love how natural and sheer it is, with a little bit of color and shimmer. Thanks for swatching!
You’re welcome Kelly
I love Shebang and, Enhanted, and Dolled up! How soon will these be released?
Is Shebang any simiiar to Evil Shade’s Gossamer?
They’re live now
I really like the look of Nouveau and Dolled Up.
I like Two to Tango!
It is cute
Lovely blushes!! Enchanted and Shebang! look especially good!
I think Icing on the cake brightens up your skin greatly
Oooh, I also like icing on the cake, but usually I gravitate towards light corals/pinks, they look best on my skin. With that said, I really would love to try Nouveau, Dolled Up and Charming
They are pretty! What’s your favorite light coral?
Loving the looks of Enchanted and Nouveau. I made a note to myself to stop by there and try some more stuff; I haven’t ordered anything from there since the eye shadow primer. So thanks for the reminder!
Ooh, Icing on the Cake sounds beautiful! I’m very attracted to Nouveau as well; it looks like a pretty shade of pink.
It is, Ciambella
Very pretty! I think my must-tries are Icing on the Cake, Nouveau, and Dolled Up. Thanks for the swatches!
You’re welcome Kathy!
Ugh, I just placed an orde to try out their conditioner the other day! How did I miss this post? If I had seen it I would have waited for the blush to go live 1st! Hmm…I may have to do another order…..
Yup yup, gotta catch em all
Hehe! Which is your favorite?
