Baked Vanilla Nudes Look

I couldn’t wait to try out the Laura Geller Baked Vanilla Nudes set. I really love Vanilla Toffee, as it’s one of those awesome shades that looks like you’re wearing 3 colors at once. I put it on my lid and crease and it gave me a very multi-dimensional look with a deeper copper-bronze, a mid-tone of caramel and a highlight of vanilla. Speaking of Vanilla, the French Vanilla highlighter is too dark for me to use as a highlight on the browbone, but the Porcelain foundation works perfectly right under the brows. You can, however, see that I initially used French Vanilla on the browbone and it was too yellow/dark.

You are just so pretty….really I don’t think anything could look less than gorgeous on you!

      • Phyrra

        Aww thank you Andrea :)

    • eRiN

I’ll give her credit, Laura Geller can make a foundation for pale-skinned girls! It looks perfect on you. Vanilla Toffee is lovely, too. I like this look, but of course, I always prefer your brighter looks, they suit your personality more ^.^

      • Phyrra

I really enjoy colors like Vanilla Toffee, for those mornings when I only have 5 mins. Multi-dimensional shades for the win :)

And yes, I tend to prefer brighter looks.

I’ve got to try the foundation a few more times. I like how it looks on my hand, and I like how it looked in the mirror but I don’t feel like it looks that good in the pictures.

looks great on you! Is the shadow and liner used wet? I got this precisely for the days when I only have five minutes!!

      • Phyrra

Instead of using it wet, I used Pixie Epoxy along the upper lash line on top of the eye shadow, and used the liner on the Pixie Epoxy. It’s dry along the lower lash line, but ‘wet’ along the upper lash line. Seriously this is PERFECT for days you only have a few mins.

Do you ever use a setting spray or something? That might help the powder look better. Not that it looks bad, because it doesn’t AT ALL.

I didn’t know you could use pixie epoxy with pressed powders. COOL! :)

      • Phyrra

I don’t normally use a setting spray or ‘fix’ spray unless I’m going somewhere special. I do normally use a primer.

      Very pretty!

I crave that set so badly but as usual when it comes to make up, you Americans get all the fun!
I hope this set will be available at the UK site so we Europeans will have a chance too.

      • Phyrra

I don’t know very much about Laura Geller, so I don’t know their availability overseas. Wish I could tell you more!

What a great collection! These nudes look amazing on you! And the berry-banana lipstick looks so pretty!

      • Phyrra

Thanks! I normally am not very drawn to neutrals, but this collection just called out to me. I’m very happy with it.

    • Emily

What a gorgeous look! I really dig browns/neutrals so much, and it looks great with your coloring!

      • Phyrra

Thank you! I wholeheartedly recommend the eye shadow set.

That’s really pretty! That color really does look like multiple colors on your lid and crease!

      • Phyrra

Yes it does! I love colors that do that! It’s nice to have a color make it look like I put on multiple shades to give my eye definition.

Wow, that lipstick looks fabulous on you! I love the shiny finish.

      • Phyrra
