I threw together a pretty quick look today since I wanted to run out and do errands. I did a retinol treatment on my skin last night, Alpha Hydrox Retinol ResQ, which I followed up with Oil of Olay’s Regenerist Night Treatment. (I got this as an Xmas Gift last year at work and had forgotten about it and never opened it). My face was a bit red this morning, but not overly so. I used my favorite daytime moisturizer, and then went to work on my makeup. I wanted my focus on my eyes, and I did them a bit differently than I normally do.

I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance Candlelight to give me a light golden glow and prime the eye area. I then quickly applied the Urban Decay Shadow Pencil in Lit to my lid and lower crease. I used MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark widely in my crease. The matte caramel beige shade worked really well with Lit and Candlelight in my crease. I highlighted with MAC Blanc Type. Then I lined my upper and lower water line with Urban Decay Perversion.

TFSI Candelight
UD Lit – lid and crease
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark – crease
Too Faced Sexpresso – outer lid and outer crease
MAC Blanc Type – on browbone and inner corners of eye
UD Perversion – upper and lower water line
UD Zero – to define brows
Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume
Flirt! It Curls Mascara in Bombshell Black

Physicians Formula Blush in Natural
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark – to contour

Too Faced Primed & Poreless Face Primer
Too Faced Amazing Face Liquid Foundation in Vanilla Creme

UD Lipstick in Naked

I really shouldn’t have bothered to add blush today as my cheeks were already so pink.

The gold looks great! Makes your eyes stand out too; very nice contrast to the eye colour.

      • Phyrra

Thanks Sophie! It’s funny that gold works better for me than copper does to make my eyes stand out.

This is really nice with your pretty blue eyes! Actually they look both green and blue here. Plus your skin looks wonderful- I’m jealous!

      • Phyrra

Aww thanks Lorraine! My eyes will look either green or blue (or both) due to the mixed pigmentation. And thank you for the compliments on my skin! I’ve been trying to find the perfect combination of skincare products.

Thanks Jen! I’ve gotta put them to the side because they’re too long and I need a trim.
