Recently I was contacted by Joanna of Johnny Concert Glamour, asking if I would like to review their makeup line or hold a contest with their products. They are an indie, vegan company that is punk rock themed.
I checked out their website, which has a fairly nice, clean design. Everything is very easy to navigate through and it’s easy to find what you’re looking for.
Here are the colors I was sent to try out. All eye shadows swatched on Aromaleigh Light Primer:

Story of euphoria – light gold with iridescent shimmer
La la leopard – rich saturated yellow
Peace love riot – teal with green blue sparkle
Erotomaniac – lustrous deep midnight blue
Tainted cupcake – pink champagne with silver sparkles
Dearest valentine – bright iridescent light magenta
Vanity’s playground – deep royal purple with blue jewel tone sheen
DominatriXXX (blush)- lustrous neutral pink with peach undertone
Star killer (lipstick)- bright iridescent fuchsia
Eye Shadows:
The eye shadows were a disappointment and did not meet my standards. The colors applied sort of patchy. They seemed dull, not very bright. I’m not sure if this is because they have too much kaolin in them or another base, or what.
When checking the ingredients listed on the website, many of them seemed wrong. For example, the color Tainted Cupcake lists its ingredients as simply: Mica (vegan). It’s missing the INCI number. You can’t really have just ‘mica’ as an ingredient.
Blush:
The blush, DominatriXXX was a bit of a disappointment as well. The color is supposed to be a neutral pink with peach undertones but it comes off as peach on my skin, and not neutral or pink at all. Again, the ingredients listing is a bit weird.
Ingredients: Mica; Zinc Oxide (Non-nano). Contains sunscreen due to the Zinc Oxide. (Vegan)
It’s a bit odd that they state it contains sunscreen, but thankfully they’re not stating a specific SPF, since you can only state a specific SPF if you do rigorous testing.
Lipstick:
The lipstick, Star Killer, was disappointing as well. While the shade description claims bright iridescent fuchsia, it was very difficult to get the color to show up. The color actually reminds me of Evil Shades Bane, only Bane has better pigmentation, texture and moisturizes. I had to go over the swatch on my hand 5 or 6 times to get it to show up.
This is what the website swatch looks like:

The color did not match the swatch on the website, which was a big disappointment for me.
The ingredients for the lipstick are:
Organic Castor Oil; Organic Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter; Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil; Wildcrafted Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax; Organic Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Oil; Hydrogenated Castor Oil; Organic Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil; Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Butter; Organic Macadamia Ternifolia (Macadamia) Nut Oil; Mica. *Mica pigment contains Carmine
Price:
$16 for a 5 gram jar of eye shadow
$23 for a 20 gram jar of blush
$22 for a lipstick
Now we get to where I have a big problem. Seeing the prices be so high, and the product quality be low by my standards, I start to feel like this could be another company trying to make a quick buck. I think these are ridiculous prices for products that I don’t feel perform well.
Would I purchase from Johnny Concert?
No. I think the products are expensive. The eye shadows applied patchy for me and the colors weren’t very bright. I’ve seen vegan indie shadows done bright, and this isn’t it. The shadows seemed to have too much kaolin or another base. While I don’t think they’re repackaged, I don’t like how they’re formulated. They just don’t work for me. The ingredients listings are just plain wrong, as far as I know.
The owner of the company seems nice, her heart is in the right place; she genuinely cares about natural, hypoallergenic and cruelty free products. While I can appreciate that, overall I was entirely disappointed with the products I tried and would not recommend them.
Sample Products were sent for consideration. All opinions are my own.

Hello Cotton
Aw, what a shame – the branding and everything LOOKS nice … let’s hope they’ll take your review to heart and make some improvements. Thanks for informing us, you are always honest and I absolutely trust your opinion!
I do hope that they take my review to heart, especially about the shadow formula. You’re quite welcome!
Um, also – can a product be called ‘vegan’ if the mica has carmine in it?
They’re promoting themselves as being cruelty free and vegan. Though yes, some of their colors have carmine, which is not vegan.
The ‘Dearest Valentine’ swatch is looking super patchy =\ The prices seem a little extreme for me.
Sophie recently shared..SMH Swatches & Review
Yeah it didn’t seem to matter what I did, some of the colors applied patchy no matter how much I worked at them.
Wow, those prices are straight up ridiculous. $22 for a sheer lipstick? Sheesh. Is their packaging really elaborate or something?
Annamax recently shared..162 Followers Giveaway!!
I’m also curious as to what the packaging looks like. 22$ for a lipstick? Did the company not do research before listing these items? lol, even MAC lipsticks aren’t that expensive and I hardly purchase them even though they are lovely, because it’s just too much to pay for a lipstick I may wear occasionally…
I do like Erotomaniac from the swatch, but it’s similiar to other colors I already have.
Amber recently shared..A Noble Cowl
I only received a tiny sample bullet, so I don’t know about the full sizes. I actually thought Tainted Cupcake and Story of Euphoria were pretty, but they were the colors that seemed to swatch the best.
I received sample sizes of everything, including the lipstick. They came in little purple sample pods, except the lipstick which came in a mini bullet (it was really cute). Since you couldn’t easily discern the colors from the samples, I opted to not take a picture of them, but I can go back later today and add one.
Noooooooooooo thankyou!
Those prices are insane. Their tagline made me double-take. “Freshly made”?? Er, ok? Does that mean they apply better after they’ve been sitting in your makeup drawers for a few months?!
Jade Carver recently shared..Link sharing
I felt like the prices were incredibly high and I know I wouldn’t pay those prices, when I could pick up a Morgana Cryptoria Lipstick for $10, or MAC for $14.50. I rarely purchase Urban Decay at $22.
I was just looking at the site. That is weird because of all the supplies I have there are none that are just mica. They all have titanium dioxide and/or iron oxide in there too. It can’t be just mica…I’ve never used any with Kaolin or played with Kaolin myself. I think it was Grey’s blog where I read Kaolin causes problems with foiling so I never put Kaolin on my ingredients-to-try list. She looks like she has good taste in colors though. Maybe if she used a different base they’d kick ass. As for the prices: wow.
Yes, I know. This is why I said their ingredients listing was wrong. Yes, I hate kaolin because if you go to foil, it makes things muddy. If you’re dry, it makes colors dusty and dull. It just sucks, in my opinion. I really prefer Sericite Mica which has been surface treated with Carnauba Wax (aka C Smax).
I’ve looked at their site too but the prices turned me off. There’s SO many indie makeup companies with more competitive prices…
The lipstick swatch looks nice actually, but I never would have ordered it from the picture on their website!! $22 is a bit much for me though and the ingredients thing is a little worrisome too
I don’t think their ingredients thing is malicious, I think it’s wrong from not understanding the laws around how it needs to be labeled.
Yeah, I don’t feel the prices are competitive with other indie companies.
Hopefully the company will take your criticism and make some changes for the better. This was a great review

Thanks Stephanie!
Phyrra-
Thank you so much for taking your time to do a review. We really appreciate it.
We will look into reformulating without Kaolin. Our prices are high due to purchasing certified organic ingredients and raw materials. We also pay experienced private formulators to make every single products. Your opinion means a lot to us and we will use it to better our company. Thank you!
You are quite welcome.
Maybe I’m just too sensitive or have some risidual anger left over from GlitterSniffer and Lime Crime, but OMG WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE CHARGING THOSE PRICES! These people should be tarred and feathered. Even if the makeup was GREAT quality/color payoff etc. I can’t see any magic or super expensive ingredients listed that could justify those price hikes.
Didn’t they hear???? It’s a recession! Wow…just ….wow. This makes me angry.
Yeah the prices really reminded me of Lime Crime.
There is no such thing as certified organic mica. I wonder if the owner realizes that and knows she’s being ‘duped’ with her ‘formulator’ or whatever she claims.
I’m sure with a little trial and error, if she was seriously interested in making cosmetics, she could do it herself with the same sort of ‘integrity and make a better and more affordable product.
Thank you for your input, Beth.
I do think that the prices seem quite high, especially when I’ve seen what raw materials can be priced at.
It’s refreshing to see an honest yet negative review and have the company respond in such a polite manner. Constructive criticism is always wonderful because it helps the company improve.
Win.
Skulda recently shared..Moved! And now for the hard part
Yes, this true, especially considering how I’ve ended up attacked before.
I must say I appreciate that the company took the time to read your review comment. There are too many companies out there who would simply slam the reviewer, as we all know has happened to Phyrra in the past.
I’d be interested to see any changes and more information on this company down the road.
I noticed their comment after I already posted mine about “tarring and feathering” the owners, and now I feel bad!
They were extremely polite and seem to take the critisicm well without being malicious or nasty, which is somewhat rare in the Indie MMU scene.
So I will commend them for that.
Exactly Cin! Me too.
Wow… It’s a very pretty website, and easy to navigate, but the prices are steep (as has been mentioned)… so this will have to be a “drooling over” site. It disappoints me that for those prices the makeup didn’t match up to the price. Also, as much as I love those brushes, I’m not going to pay $50 for a set that can be bought for $18 (providing you have a business tax id,or know someone who does).
Bravo to the creators for taking your blog as creative criticism!
Yes, definitely nice to have it accepted as constructive criticism.
I have been using Johnny-Concert cosmetics close to a year. I love the products, I love the eyeshadows and I love the lipsticks. The eyeshadow goes on nice and smooth and doesn’t streak like other eyeshadows and the lipstick is soft and silky I do not even have to put a lip conditioner over it and all that made in the USA. think you are wrong. Your opinion is less than desirable., Perhaps your caliber is more from dollar store brand makeup from China using chemicals and not organic Made in America.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and to not be bashed for it. I personally take everything I read with a grain of salt, and form my own opinion as to whether or not to buy. It makes me sad that some people feel the need to put others down, just because they have an opinion that differs from theirs.

Unfortunately, it happens a lot to bloggers who give honest opinions rather than just ‘OMG EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD!’
yeah, I (unfortunately) know. I just can’t believe how harsh the comment was. You would think by now I would be unfazed at reading comments like that on blogs, but it still blows me away what people will say while hiding behind a computer and IP address
ndrcvrngl recently shared..Realist Mermaid Review
Yeah, the people that think they’re anonymous and not realizing that they can be tracked by an ip address are pretty pathetic. The person who left the nasty comment (and has obviously never read my blog), ‘Anna”s ip address is about 5 miles from the Johnny Concert Cosmetics company PO Box.
So there is no doubt in my mind who ‘Anna’ is associated with.
Anyone who doesn’t know what an I.P address is and what it can giveaway deserves everything they get. Suitably unimpressed.
Phyrra, your classy retaliation made my day! x

Thanks Robyn. I get irritated at commenters like that.
Anna,
As this is MY BLOG, it reflect MY OPINION. It’s great that you’re happy with your Johnny Concert Products. I was not happy with the products that I was sent. Since this is my blog, and not your blog, and my review, not yours, I think it is YOUR comment which is the undesirable element. Thank you, however, for demonstrating the caliber of Johnny Concert’s customers with your intolerant, vacuous, specious and xenophobic remarks.
It really is clear you’ve never read my blog, or you’d have seen the multiple vegan indie makeup companies that I choose to buy from, such as Fyrinnae or Morgana Cryptoria or Evil Shades, or even more mainstream ones like Urban Decay.
OH MY GOD. You didn’t like this thing that I do like? HOW DARE YOU. You MUST be lying or a TERRIBLE PERSON who obviously just can’t tell when something is good.
God, how can you possibly have a differing opinion to me? How can you possibly have not had an identical experience to mine?
You must just suck. That is, clearly, the only explanation.
Bridge, troll, go away, etc.

Your comment is less than desirable. Actually, her reviews reflect that Phyrra is in fact very quality oriented. But then again, maybe you just haven’t tried anything better and therefore think that what you have now is the best ever.

My opinion on the company plummented after reading that “customer’s” attacks. Anyone who has read my blog will see that I cover a variety of brands.
It’s nice to read an honest, thorough review so full of constructive criticism.
The website really weirds me out. The branding is fun and colourful and the website is easy to navigate. Some of the images in the Flash intro weird me out with cakey-looking, strangely applied eye makeup. The models are lovely but the eye makeup on most of them looks horrible. That would turn me away from any cosmetics company.
One of their front page badges, ‘natural ingredient truth in labelling pledge’ links to a 403 error. I’m concerned about the ‘organic’ label being slapped all over the site too. There doesn’t seem to be any actual documentation available to verify if their ingredients are certified organic.
I agree that the ingredients listings seem wrong, too. I’m concerned that these ‘private formulators’ might be con artists or just misinformed people who don’t understand the basics of cosmetic formulation. Oxides and kaolin does not an eyeshadow make (which would explain the patchiness and difficulty in application)
Even with buying organic raw materials, the markup seems way too high. Maybe if they ditched their crappy ‘professional formulators’ and researched mineral makeup formulation they could develop a better product.
Thank you Mjolnir. I try to be constructive with my criticism and not mean-spirited.
I also noticed that the makeup on the models was BRIGHT, which I don’t see how they could get those results unless they used another company’s products.
God if the lipstick did show up the colour of the swatch it would be AMAZING! What a shame. Those prices are a bit crazy.
Lillian recently shared..Cookie Monster!
Yep, I thought it looked like it would be amazing, such a ‘me’ color, since I LOVE bright fuchsia lipsticks.
Your swatch is still quite pretty, but just not even remotely like the colour you’d expect it to be!
Lillian recently shared..Cookie Monster!
Exactly. That’s why I was disappointed.
Wow…
I can’t believe that comment. Phyrra, you deserve a metal for all the crap you have to take from idiots when you are just voicing your honest opinion. OPINION!!! What don’t people understand about that word!?
I love you Grey and Anastasia’s blogs, even though I don’t share every opinion expressed on every product.
People get so huffy! IT’S MAKEUP! It’s supposed to be fun! Lighten up jeez….
I really appreciate the fact that you can appreciate our differing opinions
I’ve been in the cosmetic ingredient field in the US for over eleven years. While this company looks to have a nice presentation, they have neglected to follow the actual US laws concerning cosmetics made here.
1. You MUST use the INCI name on the cosmetic label, or at least on the outer packaging like printed shrink-wrap. This means you must list all of them in proper form.
2. Mica has no color. OMG, I know, I know. Mica is most often a pale grey. It has to be coloredwith chemicalsand mineral derivitives such as iron oxides. These have to be listed! You cannot list just “mica” for a pink blush or yellow shadow. La La Leopard does not contain just iron oxides and come out really bright yellow. There is no possible way. it must either also have yellow #5 or #10 (dyes) or Tin Oxide. They all have iron oxides, titanium dioxide, chromium oxide, ultramarines, borosilicate, are processed with tin oxide, etc. Not including each and every ingredient on each and every product isn’t an option. Not only is this law, but it helps protects the company’s ass. Also, “chemical-free” is listed. No. They are not. Learn about the chemical processes that are involved in production of these colors and substances. It sounds nice, sure, but it’s also an outright falsification.
3. Know what you are selling versus what you are claiming! Your products include carmine. Carmine is ground-up bugs. This is not vegan.
4. Snarky, but the shadows on the models look just terrible. Bad blending, chalky looking mattes, and it just turns me away.
It looks like with a little work and reduction in prices (by now all of Phyrra’s readers know the raw material costs), this could be a nice operation. I do commend the owner for politely commenting and wish her/him luck.
I love you times a billion.

Thank you for sharing this. The ingredients listings just looked wrong to me.
Wow, that rude comment above… some people just don’t get it, do they?
I’m glad that you don’t feel the need to sugar coat your reviews. I appreciate your honesty. If someone doesn’t get that everyone doesn’t have to have the same opinion, well it’s really THEIR problem, isn’t it?
Good for you for sticking up for yourself and YOUR blog, which frankly you can say whatever you like on. You could have been mean, cruel even, and trashed the company completely, which you did not. I believe you gave your fair and honest opinion, which is refreshing.
Don’t let the one bad seed get you down, you’re one of the best!
It’s just not my style to completely trash someone and make personal attacks, but not everyone has the sort of standards that I do.
Thanks for your support ULB
Wow. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and should not be put down for it. Great if the product works for them, but it doesn’t always work for everyone else. Without feedback how would companies grow and get better. Personally as an owner of a company I value bloggers and vloggers opinions when they know what they are talking about. I most definitely value Phyrra’s opinion. It takes a lot of work to blog and it would be nice if people would just stop with their negativity. Can’t we just all get along?
Thank you for your support Rosa.
It’s too bad they didn’t pay as much attention to accuracy on their website as they do to stressing the freshness, vegan & organic properties of their makeup. Their About Us makes a big deal about being vegan but not 100% because of the carmine. Looks like the owner has good intentions but improvements & major price reduction would be required for me to place an order.
Yeah, I thought she had good intentions from the emails I exchanged with her, however, after trying the products, they were a serious let down.
Geesh, that Johnny Concert fan shouldn’t knock cheap makeup. My new Wet & Wild palettes are better quality than any of the MAC shades I own. Hmph.
I’m afraid I’ll be staying away from this company. The ingredients issue is worrisome.
My Wet n’ Wild colors apply better and with less patchyness. Oh, and they’re brighter.
Soooo, I just wandered onto the website out of curiousity… odd that all but one of their brushes look an awful lot like my EcoTools ones. I certainly didn’t pay $15 for my EcoTools Face Powder Brush. I also didn’t know Taklon was spelled Talkon… even further, $10 for a tiny angled Taklon brush? I wonder where that’s from…
Just looking at the brushes, I get a weird vibe from this company.
Sadly, it’s a HUGE mark up. They’re buying them from qosmedix, for about a buck apiece.

Ouch!
Oh, what a shame, some of the colours looked really nice and some of the names are really fun (except Ganja. Er?) I’ve NEVER seen an indie lippy that expensive though why, oh, why would you buy an indie lippie When you can get Evil Shades for like, $5? I noticed a couple spelling mistakes on some products names and the non-vegan vegan thing isn’t cool.
robyn recently shared..NOTD- Green Glitter Gradient
The pricing on the lippy is about what you’d pay for an UD lippy, so yeah, pretty pricey.
*Why oh why would you buy an indie lippie *that expensive*.
robyn recently shared..NOTD- Green Glitter Gradient
Personally I would not.
After reading the first part of Ana’s Glittersniffer review, I drew an ugly parallel. Like Glittersniffer, this company introduces itself as a vegan company yet it has eye pigments that contain carmine. I also saw that the eyeliners hey sell are made with beeswax. Not “synthetic” beeswax, real beeswax! Granted, Glittersniffer described themselves as an all vegan brand and just because the Johnny Concert homepage says they “create products that are…vegan” doesn’t necessarily imply they are all vegan but when you introduce yourself to new customers that way it sure as s*** sounds like it!
I’m not a fan of the homepage slideshow at all. The eyeshadow pigments on most of the female models are just sitting on top of each other in a way that looks disgusting to me personally. Only one female model has a look with eyeshadow that appears smoothed on as opposed to flicked on the eyelids but the blue and purple don’t meld with one another so it looks patchy as well. Maybe the eyeshadow looks that don’t look blended in any way are presented that way to emphasize the “rawness” of natural minerals but mineral eyeshadows definitely aren’t packaged straight from the earth. The last slide shows a shirtless man wearing blue eyeshadow. Is it just me, or are those tats way too bright? I really think the eyeshadows & tattoos were color enhanced throughout.
I censored myself because the owner was so polite in her response. I felt the colors you swatched had potential and I would have chosen most of them for myself had the formula been better & pigmentation less dim. I like the concept of the brand & I also think it may have promise, but some serious product reformulating needs to be done. To improve the brand’s image, my suggestion would be to take the vegan label off the home page, present the products as accurately and consistently (the homepage violates this part) as possible, ditch the formulators, and become more informed about MMU ingredients & definitely pricing (those prices are in no way justifiable) to make makeup that appeals to indie & corporate consumers alike.
I felt like the eye shadows on the models did not match what they sold, which was odd. However, I’ve seen other makeup company sites do that, have models with makeup on that doesn’t actually belong to the company.
Dear Everyone,
I didn’t know what an uproar this would cause and I would sincerely like to apologize to Phyrra and each and every one of you since I had no idea that this review would upset a lot of people. I have actually learned a lot from all your feed back and it really does mean so much to me. To clarify, Johnny Concert is a cruelty free company but we are not a vegan company, however we do have vegan products and are working towards becoming an entire vegan line. To respond to all your concerns about Mica, Muscovite Mica is indeed colorless. What gives it the coloring are molecules that attach to it in the earth, such as Carmine, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide and Ferric Ferrocyanide. Depending upon the components, different shades result. For example, Ferric Ferrocyanide results in blue. Carmine is red. Titanium Dioxide is white, etc. There is a difference between a substance being naturally occurring when mined, and an additive. When ingredients are listed, we list additives. For example, the only color that we blend using Carmine as an ingredient is ‘Screamo’ because we add it. Other shades of mica may have Carmine in their composition, but it is not an ingredient. In that instance, the ingredient is Mica.
Being a signer for the Compact for Safe Cosmetics we are limited about what ingredients we add to our cosmetics. Kaolin is a clay, and when mixed with water will turn into the consistency of any other clay (the muddy feel that Phyrra mentioned), using it in dry form allows the shelf life to be much longer. We do have C SMAX which was mentioned but have not used it in dry form. Although on manufacturer websites C SMAX is ‘natural and vegan’ is a fairly new product and not listed on Skin Deep and I have not seen the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet), however Kaolin is a safe ingredient, therefore we stay with Kaolin until better alternatives have been proven safe. With C SMAX the wax coating helps bind the particles so the formulas are less ‘flyaway’. The wax also keeps the mica from changing color as it absorbs oil and helps eliminate the typical shine on the surface of the mica particles. After blending it feels amazingly smooth, light and doesn’t leave an ashen look on dark brown skin. Kaolin is white and makes products lighter in color, Sericite Mica does not do that as much. (Not all Sericite is coated with Carnauba Wax, i.e. C SMAX.)
Compared to other indie brands I will admit our prices are much higher. I am not the one personally making these products by hand. I work with a team of professional who are highly educated in formulating safe cosmetics and have been in the cosmetic industry for a very long time. Although we still are new and viewed as an indie brand in the make up community maybe it is wrong on my end to say Johnny Concert is an indie brand since we do operate more as a company. That is my fault and I will 100% take the blame for that.
As far as our models, we were just playing around and trying something different. Makeup is fun and a way to express our individual creativity. Different looks work for different people and how you choose to apply it is what sets each individual apart and that’s what makeup communities are all about coming together and sharing different looks, ideas and our creativity. We were just trying to break away from how standard makeup was applied and have a really fun time trying something new. It wasn’t meant to be taken seriously and it was not meant to turn people off. It was just our way of experimenting with our make up and trying something that we haven’t seen done before.
Although I do appreciate the person who defended us I would like to apologize on their behalf because I contacted Phyrra personally just to get her honest opinion so in fact her input is very desirable, especially to me.

Thank you for your apology.
Joanna,
I commend your positive attitude and ability to take negative feedback. Adaptability is a great quality in a business.
However, in response to this:
“Muscovite Mica is indeed colorless. What gives it the coloring are molecules that attach to it in the earth, such as Carmine, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide and Ferric Ferrocyanide. I need to point out that according to FDA labelling guidelines, YOU NEED TO LIST ALL THE ADDITIVES. Your mica might still ONLY BE MICA coloured with say, tin oxide, but TIN OXIDE MUST BE LISTED NEXT TO MICA. To do otherwise is breaking FDA labelling guidelines.
If you have carnauba-wax coated mica you are using as a base, for example, you MUST list both mica and carnauba-wax in the ingredients list. You must list any additive or ingredient which coats or is attached to another. There is a reason why this is mandatory, for example some people are highly sensitive to ferric ferrocyanide or allergic to carmine (I know you state when they include carmine, but you MUST STATE all of the additives).
I know you care about FDA regulations as you don’t list your product as having an SPF value, because you know that you legally cannot without having it tested. You also cannot legally list simply “mica” without also listing any other additive or ingredient which coats it or is included, i.e. titanium dioxide, ultramarines, tin oxide, etc.
Anastasia recently shared..Please Go Directly To Jail – Part 1
Sorry, to add – you still need to list them all even if you dug up your mica red, although I really don’t think you did. I’m not sure why carmine, which is ground-up bugs, would be hanging around in the earth next to your mica and attach to it. Normally people add the colourants themselves. But I’m no organic expert.
Anyway, it doesn’t matter if it was “like that when you found it” if your mica is coloured it contains another ingredient which is colouring it and IT NEEDS TO GO ON THE LABEL.
Anastasia recently shared..Please Go Directly To Jail – Part 1
Hi Anastasia,
I love that you are concerned about what you are putting on your skin as you should be. And since 60% of what we put on our skin gets absorbed into our bloodstream it is very important that we know every single chemical, ingredient and product we are absorbing through our epidermal pores which is exactly what prompted us to start this type of cosmetic line. We work very closely with the FDA regulations along with the EWG and Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. All 3 of these reputable organizations are aware of our ingredients and have never flagged our Mica to be an issue. However since this is an issue for you it most likely is for others who are very concerned as well (myself included) and we will look into being more descriptive as to where our minerals are derived from. Thank you!
