BH Cosmetics Swatches

At the suggestion of a friend, I ordered one of the BH Cosmetics Custom 15 pan palette during their St. Patrick’s Day sale. By the way, they currently have a 25% off sale going on right now.

MM – Metallic Matte
WS – Warm Shimmer
CM – Cool Matte
WM – Warm Matte

MM18 – matte gold
WS01 – shimmery pink with silver sparkles
WS06 – shimmery coral with a pink shift
WS07 – shimmery lavender with a blue shift
WS20 – bright shimmery fuchsia
CM07 – light grey matte
WM01 – light hot pink matte
WM06 – coral leaning pink matte
WM03 – vibrant orange matte
WM08 – midtone hot pink matte
CM16 – blue-based purple matte
CM17 – lime green matte
CM15 – bright aqua matte
CM13 – medium aqua blue matte
CM18 – deep midnight blue matte

BH states on their website that they do not test on animals.

The colors I chose are all nicely pigmented (except the light grey, it took a bit of effort to get it to show up), and very smooth, not chalky. I swatched them all on Meow’s Light Shadow Base.

Anyway, these are just my initial thoughts from swatching.

Product purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

I like the look of WS06, WS07 and CM16. Pretty! If I didn’t already have a lifetime supply of eyeshadows I’d probably look into getting some of these. hehe.

They are pretty. I’m always happy to find more easy to use, brightly colored mattes.

Those matte shades look amazing! Unfortunately their international shipping is sooo expensive :( How do you think these compare to Inglot’s eyeshadows?

I haven’t really used either long enough to formulate a useful opinion. I only swatched those once and haven’t had a chance to wear them yet.

keijukainen, where you from? Try to find partner sites of strawberry.net in your country, you could buy without expensive international shipping.

I felt tempted to order using the st patricks day sale, get them as my birthday gift but Int shipping is very high :(
Love all the pinks that you order, you look so pretty with peach and pink shades :)

WM06 is lush, I love shades like that. Would make a pretty blush, too.

Yey for pigmented mattes! But their shipping is /insane/. Nearly thirty US dollars! That’s at least £20, maybe more… Christ :/

Do you know if BH and Coastal Scents use the same supplier or do they each make their own palettes? They look exactly the same to me. I was curious. Have you used Coastal Scents palettes? I got one and I am pretty pleased with it so far

I think the custom palettes are different. I suspect the premade palettes may be the same. I haven’t used any of the pre made.

    • Mandy Kewitsch March 29, 2011 at 1:40 pm #

They premade palettes come from a major distributor who puts their logo on the packaging (like private label). You can actually go on eBay and find the same palette, unlabeled, among many other retailers. Almost all of them ship from China.

Not sure about the custom palettes, but the quality of these shadows seem better & more consistent than the quality of the 88/120 palettes.

The premades did look very similar to what Coastal Scents and other places sell, but the quality of the custom colors that I purchased seems very good. Of course, I don’t have a premade to compare it to but the mattes are better in almost all cases than a lot of department store mattes.

surprisingly I’d love to get the light grey to put on the lid with MAC’s copperplate in the crease. ..

Thanks for the swatches! There are all so pretty!!
