Recently I got inspired by this post from XSparkage to go out and try China Glaze’s Crackle Polish.
I picked up:
China Glaze Techno Teal
China Glaze Solar Power
China Glaze Broken Hearted
China Glaze Fault Line
Orly Royal Velvet
Solar Power is underneath of Broken Hearted & Fault Line.
Reggae to Riches and Opulent Cloud both have Sinful Pearl Harbor on top as I was playing around with ideas for how to do my nails for Saturday.
Finally, you can see that I put down 2 coats of China Glaze Solar Power (yellow) and then did crackle polish on top. I used Broken Hearted (I keep wanting to call this Heart Breaker) for the majority of the nails and Fault Line for the accent color.
Have you been inspired by anything recently? If so, please share!

I saw xSparkage’s post too – so cool…that polish is awesome!
It really was!
I need to check Sally’s for these! My aunt surprised me with Black Shatter last week so I will probably do a manicure with that soon.
What sort of pattern did you use when you painted the crackle polish on (diagonal, zig zag, straight, etc.)? I’m asking because the cracks look different in your swatches than in some others I’ve seen.
I did a zig zag, so that they’d crack differently.
I just did my first crackle manicure. I bought all the colors except for the gray crackle polish. I’m so predictable the first manicure is red with with black crackle polish.
The Solar Power w/ Broken Hearted crackle polish over it is my favorite combo! I think Fault Line would look nice over Opulent Cloud too.
Oooh I bet it would! Thanks for the suggestion
Broken Hearted is pretty over the yellow base! Good enough to eat! Hahahaha!
This reminds me of dinosaurs for some reason XD like cartoon dinosaurs!
Ahhh I love crackle polish! I just got 4 of the Crackle Glaze’s but haven’t tried them yet. That combination of yellow and pink is just gorgeous!
Thanks Lillian! I think it’s cute too.
